The following specification describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed

FIELD OF INVENTION

The present invention relates to the field of designing and implementing a locker system that

is automated by using the techniques of embedded systems. The proposed smart device can be

used for any locking mechanism such as the main door, cabinet, wardrobes, etc.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

[0001] Background description includes information that may be useful in

understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the

information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed

invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.

[0002] In the existing system there is no mechanism to keep open the lock of a

particular door or wardrobe for a specific time interval there is a need to implement

a theft control mechanism to the wardrobes, main door locking system, almirah’s as

well as cupboards. Though there are a variety of digital lockers in the market there

are no lockers with embedded system mechanism to allow access to the lockers

based on one- time password that will be sent on the registered mobile number or

the e-mail id of the user.

[0003] The proposed invention is a smart locker which is a touch screen locker

embedded with techniques to communicate with the mobile phone of the user

whenever there is unauthorized access. The smart locker also encloses the time

sensor for the purpose of authentication. The biometric sensor will only allow pre-

registered finger-print or face that the user has set.

[0004] The invention works by buying an alarm whenever there is unauthorized

access to digital lockers. The digital lockers can be operated from a remote place

without the need for the user to be around the almirah’s or wardrobes.

[0005] The user can also, free the wardrobe lock when the child wants to use it and

parents are at the workplace.

[0006] The proposed invention includes a time sensor and thus the parent can keep

open the main door around the timings the child will be back from school or tuition

also, the invention has dual advantages of monitoring child or house or any valuable

property such as almirah, wardrobes, and cupboards along with test control

mechanism.

[0007] The above information is presented as background information only to assist

with an understanding of the present disclosure. No determination has been made,

no assertion is made, and as to whether any of the above might be applicable as prior

art with regard to the present invention.

[0008] In the view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of

things finder and alarm system now present in the prior art, the present invention

provides improved results. As such, the general purpose of the present invention,

which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a new and

efficient technique to find the immovable things that are misplaced or placed and

forgotten and to act as a reminder for especially amnesia patients which has all the

advantages of the prior art and none of the disadvantages.

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

[0009] In the view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of

reminders or things finding techniques now present in the prior art; the present

invention provides an improved and efficient technique with a centralized device to

find the things that are misplaced or placed and forgotten when the user is in hurry.

As such, the general purpose of the present invention, which will be described

subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a new technique by designing a

centralized device with a plurality of sensors which has all the advantages of the

prior art and none of the disadvantages.

[0010] The main objective of the proposed invention is to design and implement a

digital locker that is efficient and secure than the lockers that are existing in the

market. The proposed digital locker is a smart device that will facilitate the usage

of the locker even when the owner is not around. In simple terms, the proposed

locker can be operated by the user at anytime from anywhere.

[0011] Yet another object of the proposed invention is that the said invention

includes a bio-matric sensor for authenticating the authorized user. The user of the

locker has to pre-record his fingerprint and the locker will allow access based on

pattern matching techniques.

[0012] Another important aspect of the said invention is that the locker also

includes face recognition techniques for recognizing the authorized author and give

access to the locker.

[0013] Yet another aspect of the proposed invention is that the said invention

includes a time sensor so that the user can set the lock open for specific time

intervals and are disconnect the access from anywhere at any time. This feature will

allow the user to give access to the child when he/she back from school. Thus, the

parent can lock their house or wardrobes from this workplace itself & monitor their

words along with theft control mechanism.

[0014] Another important aspect of the proposed invention is that the smart locker

is also embedded with OTP (one-time-password) mechanism. The user can gain

access only after entering the OTP that has been received on the registered mobile

number or e-mail id of the uses. Thus, the proposed invention is highly secure with

a triple authentication process. Joining access to the lock is possible only after the

authentication gateway is open & the authorized uses have approved it.

[0015] In this respect, before explaining at least one embodiment of the invention

in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to

the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in

the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of

other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it

is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for

the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting.

features of novelty that characterize the invention, are pointed out with particularity

in the disclosure. For a better understanding of the invention, its operating

advantages, and the specific objects attained by its uses, reference should be had to

the accompanying drawings and descriptive matter in which there are illustrated

preferred embodiments of the invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed

description thereof. Such the description makes reference to the annexed drawings

Figure 1 illustrates the schematic view of an automated locker with embedded

systems for more efficacy in terms of security and privacy, according to the

embodiment herein.

Figure 2 illustrates the flow diagram of an automated locker with embedded systems

for more efficacy in terms of security and privacy, according to the embodiment

herein.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

accompanying drawings which form a part hereof, and in which is shown by way

of illustration specific embodiments in which the invention may be practiced. These

[0020] In this disclosure, whenever an element or a group of elements is preceded

with the transitional phrase "comprising", it is understood that we also contemplate

essentially of, "consisting", "selected from the group consisting of”, "including", or

"is" preceding the recitation of the element or group of elements and vice versa.

[0021] The proposed invention is an automated locker with embedded systems for

more efficacy in terms of security and privacy. It's implemented using a smart

device that is used for monitoring the lockers that can be mounted on the main doors,

wardrobes, and cupboards, etc. The main intention is to implement triple protection

procedure is obtained through a one-time password (OTP), a biometric sensor to

recognize the fingerprint, and face recognition technology to recognize the face of

the authorized person.

[0022] Reference will now be made in detail to the exemplary embodiment of the

present disclosure. Before describing the detailed embodiments that are in

accordance with the present disclosure, it should be observed that the embodiment

resides primarily in combinations arrangement of the system according to an

embodiment herein and as exemplified in FIG. 1.

[0023] Figure 1 illustrates the schematic view of an automated locker with

embedded systems for more efficacy in terms of security and privacy. The smart

and efficient digital locker 100 is fixed to door 101. Door 101 can be the door of a

house, wardrobe, or a cupboard. The smart locker 100 includes a time sensor 102 to

set or reset the timings of operation of the locker 100. The user can lock or unlock

the door 100 for a specific time interval by communicating with the time sensor 102

through the mobile phone. The processing unit 105 facilitates wireless

communication with various sensors and units such as time sensor 102, bio-metric

sensor 103, and face recognition unit 104. The biometric sensor 103 is used for

authenticating the user’s fingerprint and thus allowing access to the authorized

person. The face recognition unit 104 will serve as another authentication unit by

allowing access to door 101 only after recognizing the authorized face. Thus, the

proposed smart and digital locker 100 is claimed to be efficient because of its triple

authentication procedure.

[0024] Figure 2 illustrates the flow diagram of an automated locker with embedded

systems for more efficacy in terms of security and privacy. Whenever a person tries

to open the smart door 100, he/she has to pass at least any one of the authentication

processes that are biometric, face recognition, or one-time password mechanism.

The user has to prove his authorization of fingerprint using bio-metric sensor 103.

[0027] In the processing unit, 105 will coordinate with various sensors to prove the

existence of an authorized person. If in case the user of the smart digital locker 100

is not around he/she can allow access to the known person by entering the OTP that

will be received on the registered mobile number or e-mail id of the user. Also, the

user can set free the smart lock for a specific duration using the time sensor 102.

The proposed digital smart locker 100 can be anytime from anywhere using the

mobile phone on any electronic gadgets such as laptops etc.

[0025] In the above description, for the purpose of explanation, numerous specific

details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the arrangement

of the system according to an embodiment herein. It will be apparent, however, to

one skilled in the art, that the present embodiment can be practiced without these

specific details. In other instances, structures are shown in block diagram form only

in order to avoid obscuring the present invention.

WE CLAIM

1. An automated locker with embedded systems for more efficacy in terms of security

and privacy it will comprise a time sensor, biometric sensor, face recognition unit,

pattern matching unit, memory unit, processor & the cloud server.

2. The smart and digital locker as claimed in claim 1 includes a time sensor wherein

the time sensor is used to lock or unlock the particular locker for a specific time

interval. The time sensor can be set or reset using the mobile phone of the user.

3. The part and digital locker as claimed in claim 1, includes a Bio-metric sensor

wherein the biometric sensor is used for the purpose of authentication and allow

access to only the authorized person.

4. The smart and efficient digital locker includes a face recognition unit wherein the

face recognition unit will allow access to the person or user only after recognizing

the face that is the pre-registered face.

5. The smart and efficient digital locker includes a memory unit wherein the memory

unit is connected to the time sensor, biometric sensor, and the face recognition unit

collectively to store the pre-registered fingerprint face and the pre-recorded timing

to lock or unlock the locker.

6. The smart and efficient digital locker includes a processor wherein the processor

is responsible for all the processing activities that have to be carried out in the

smart and efficient digital lockers.

7. The smart and efficient digital locker as claimed in claim 1 includes a cloud server

wherein the cloud server is responsible for operating the locker anytime from

anywhere and also store the information regarding the usage of locker over the

week, month, and year.

ABSTRACT

AN AUTOMATED LOCKER WITH EMBEDDED SYSTEMS FOR MORE

EFFICACY IN TERMS OF SECURITY AND PRIVACY

An automated locker with embedded systems for more efficacy in terms of security and

privacy. Is the proposed invention that will help the working person and the working parents

to monitor the wardrobes and monitor from their workplace itself and said the timer for locking

of doors and system will act as an efficient theft control mechanism. The locker is embedded

with systems that enclose a digital mechanism to lock or unlock the locker. The locker will be

unlocked only through the one-time password (OTP) that will be received on the registered

mobile number or the e-mail id of the user. The proposed invention will revolutionize the locker

mechanism of almirah’s or wardrobes.
