FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of designing and implementing a locker system that
is automated by using the techniques of embedded systems. The proposed smart device can be
used for any locking mechanism such as the main door, cabinet, wardrobes, etc.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
[0002] In the existing system there is no mechanism to keep open the lock of a
particular door or wardrobe for a specific time interval there is a need to implement
a theft control mechanism to the wardrobes, main door locking system, almirah’s as
well as cupboards. Though there are a variety of digital lockers in the market there
are no lockers with embedded system mechanism to allow access to the lockers
based on one- time password that will be sent on the registered mobile number or

embedded with techniques to communicate with the mobile phone of the user
whenever there is unauthorized access. The smart locker also encloses the time
sensor for the purpose of authentication. The biometric sensor will only allow pre-

[0004] The invention works by buying an alarm whenever there is unauthorized
access to digital lockers. The digital lockers can be operated from a remote place
without the need for the user to be around the almirah’s or wardrobes.
[0005] The user can also, free the wardrobe lock when the child wants to use it and

SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0009] In the view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of
reminders or things finding techniques now present in the prior art; the present
find the things that are misplaced or placed and forgotten when the user is in hurry.
As such, the general purpose of the present invention, which will be described
centralized device with a plurality of sensors which has all the advantages of the
[0010] The main objective of the proposed invention is to design and implement a
digital locker that is efficient and secure than the lockers that are existing in the
market. The proposed digital locker is a smart device that will facilitate the usage
of the locker even when the owner is not around. In simple terms, the proposed
[0011] Yet another object of the proposed invention is that the said invention
includes a bio-matric sensor for authenticating the authorized user. The user of the
locker has to pre-record his fingerprint and the locker will allow access based on
[0012] Another important aspect of the said invention is that the locker also
includes face recognition techniques for recognizing the authorized author and give

[0013] Yet another aspect of the proposed invention is that the said invention
includes a time sensor so that the user can set the lock open for specific time
intervals and are disconnect the access from anywhere at any time. This feature will
allow the user to give access to the child when he/she back from school. Thus, the
parent can lock their house or wardrobes from this workplace itself & monitor their
[0014] Another important aspect of the proposed invention is that the smart locker
is also embedded with OTP (one-time-password) mechanism. The user can gain
access only after entering the OTP that has been received on the registered mobile
number or e-mail id of the uses. Thus, the proposed invention is highly secure with
a triple authentication process. Joining access to the lock is possible only after the
authentication gateway is open & the authorized uses have approved it.
[0015] In this respect, before explaining at least one embodiment of the invention
the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in
other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it
is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for

Further, some components that may form a part of the invention may not be
illustrated in certain figures, for ease of illustration, and such omissions do not limit
the embodiments outlined in any way. It should be understood that the drawings and
detailed description thereto are not intended to limit the invention to the particular
form disclosed, but on the contrary, the invention covers all modification/s,
equivalents, and alternatives falling within the spirit and scope of the present
invention as defined by the appended claims. The headings are used for
organizational purposes only and are not meant to limit the scope of the description
or the claims. As used throughout this description, the word "may" be used in a
permissive sense (i.e. meaning having the potential to), rather than the mandatory

[0023] Figure 1 illustrates the schematic view of an automated locker with
embedded systems for more efficacy in terms of security and privacy. The smart
and efficient digital locker 100 is fixed to door 101. Door 101 can be the door of a
house, wardrobe, or a cupboard. The smart locker 100 includes a time sensor 102 to
set or reset the timings of operation of the locker 100. The user can lock or unlock
the door 100 for a specific time interval by communicating with the time sensor 102
through the mobile phone. The processing unit 105 facilitates wireless
communication with various sensors and units such as time sensor 102, bio-metric
sensor 103, and face recognition unit 104. The biometric sensor 103 is used for
authenticating the user’s fingerprint and thus allowing access to the authorized
person. The face recognition unit 104 will serve as another authentication unit by
allowing access to door 101 only after recognizing the authorized face. Thus, the
proposed smart and digital locker 100 is claimed to be efficient because of its triple
authentication procedure.

systems for more efficacy in terms of security and privacy. Whenever a person tries
to open the smart door 100, he/she has to pass at least any one of the authentication
The user has to prove his authorization of fingerprint using bio-metric sensor 103.
[0027] In the processing unit, 105 will coordinate with various sensors to prove the
existence of an authorized person. If in case the user of the smart digital locker 100
is not around he/she can allow access to the known person by entering the OTP that
will be received on the registered mobile number or e-mail id of the user. Also, the
user can set free the smart lock for a specific duration using the time sensor 102.

details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the arrangement
one skilled in the art, that the present embodiment can be practiced without these
specific details. In other instances, structures are shown in block diagram form only
