1 Scope of Work 
1.1 Introduction 
Provide  Waste  Heat  Recovery  Equipment,  ancillary  equipment,  and  related  services  as  described 
herein. 

1.2 Work Included 
1.2.1 Engineering and Services 
Design  the  equipment  in  accordance  with  the  Material/Equipment  Specifications,  all  included 
appendices, the applicable codes and standards, reference specifications, equipment data sheets and 
local government regulations, and ensure that the blower is suitable for the duties specified. 
Submit with the tender package a list of all deviations from and exceptions to the specification and all 
reference specifications, codes and standards, and describe each in detail. 
Provide evidence of satisfactory experience in the equipment and associated components design, and 
fabrication for heavy‐duty applications. 
Obtain approval and registration from the appropriate authorities. 
Consult  the  Engineer  for  clarification  wherever  discrepancies  in  the  technical  information  exist 
between the various documents contained in the bid package. 
Corrosion allowances are to be as outlined in the technical specifications. 
The waste heat recovery equipment shall be sized on the basis of 2% heat loss. 
1.2.2 Procurement and Supply 
Supply and  deliver  the Waste Heat  Recovery Equipment  complete with ancillary components, and 
furnish all materials, accessories and services required for the complete testing and commissioning of 
the same. 
Include in the scope of work items, accessories and services that are usual or necessary to complete 
the work, but which may not have been specifically mentioned herein. 
1.2.3 Fabrication 
Fabricate the Waste Heat Recovery Equipment in accordance with the specifications and all included 
appendices, the applicable codes and standards, reference specifications, drawings, equipment data 
sheets and local government regulations.

1.2.4 Shop Assembly 
Equipment is to be shop fabricated to the maximum extent possible.  In this respect Code welding at 
the construction site is to be limited to the risers and downcomers connecting the boiler. 

1.2.5 Verification and Testing During Fabrication 
Submit details of all tests to be carried out during manufacture in the form of an Inspection and Test 
Plan with detailed Vendor/sub‐vendor inspection points shown and test procedures clearly defined. 
Prior  to  shipment,  perform  the  tests  as  defined  by  the  Quality  Assurance  requirements  of  the 
specification. 

1.2.6 Provision of Technical Data, Drawings and Instruction Manuals 
Provide design data, calculations, specifications, shop drawings, General Arrangement 3D Model (for 
import  to  SmartPlant)  catalogue  data  sheets,  installation  and  maintenance  information,  etc.  in 
accordance  with  the  attached  Vendor  Data  Requirements  Schedule  which  forms  part  of  the 
specification. 

1.2.7 Shipment, Packing and Preparation 
Prepare  the  equipment  for  shipment  and  pack  the  equipment  in  accordance  with  the  referenced 
Standard Specification 00257650‐0000‐45EG‐0005 Packing and Shipping. 

1.2.8 Spare Parts, Special Tools and Equipment 
Supply  the  spare  parts  necessary  for  the  installation  and  commissioning  of  the  equipment  in 
accordance with the standard specification 00257650‐0000‐45EG‐0002 Spare Parts. 
 Split the list and price the items individually as follows: 
 Commissioning Spares ‐ Form B 
 Spares required for 24 months of operation – Form A 
 Special tools and equipment for: 
o Installation 
o Commissioning 
o Maintenance 
1.2.9 Alternatives 
The Vendor  may supplement  his base  tender with  alternatives  provided that they offer significant 
advantages  with  respect  to  capital  cost,  operating  cost,  delivery  date,  safety,  quality,  reliability  or 
suitability for a specific service.  However, it is mandatory that the equipment be capable of meeting 
the duty and throughput rate(s) as indicated in the specification. 

 
Complete and return the equipment data sheets with the tender otherwise the tender may not be 
considered.

1.3 Work Excluded 
Equipment foundations will be designed, supplied and installed by Others. 

Equipment anchor bolts will be supplied and installed by Others. 

Equipment access platforms, walkways, handrailing, ladders and stairways will be designed, supplied 
and installed by Others. 

Equipment will be off‐loaded, handled and stored at the site by Others. 

Equipment will be installed at the site by Others. 

Equipment Ocean Freight will be handled by Others. 

Equipment insulation materials and installation by Others. 

Connecting ducting and piping to the equipment by Others.
