OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
1) Flight planning must consider the fuel burn and range associated with flight at lower altitudes.
2) Minimum enroute altitudes must be taken into account for the planned route.
3) Passengers must be briefed prior to each flight that cabin pressurization will be unavailable.
Any medical complications or concerns must be considered in determination of the enroute
altitude.
4) Portable or therapeutic oxygen may be used as needed for passenger comfort.
5) Cabin pressure must be monitored throughout the flight.

Disengage and secure NORM PRESS circuit breaker located on the pilots circuit breaker panel.
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES

21-33-00 Cabin Outflow Valve

1) Remove one outflow valve. Refer to the 525B Maintenance Manual Chapter 21, Outflow
Valve – Removal/Installation.
2) Bag and stow any loose connectors.
1) Fabricate a 0.020 inch (0.51 mm) thick blocking plate from Type 301, 1/2-hard stainless steel
of the applicable diameter.
2) Disconnect the bleed air tube upstream from the regulating shutoff valve. Refer to 525B
Maintenance Manual.
3) Install the blocking plate on the shutoff valve, between the valve and the bleed air tube.
4) Connect the bleed air tube to the unserviceable regulating shutoff valve. Refer to 525B
Maintenance Manual.

21-33-02-01 Pressure Regulating Shutoff Valves(Unpressurized)

1) Fabricate a 0.020 inch (0.51 mm) thick blocking plate from Type 301, 1/2-hard stainless steel
of the applicable diameter.
2) Disconnect the bleed air tube upstream from the regulating shutoff valves. Refer to 525B
Maintenance Manual.
3) Install the blocking plate on the shutoff valves, between the valves and the bleed air tubes.
4) Connect the bleed air tubes to the unserviceable regulating shutoff valves. Refer to 525B
Maintenance Manual.

23-10-01-02 High Frequency (HF) Communications System

(O) May be inoperative while conducting operations that require two LRCS provided:
a) SATCOM voice or data link operates normally,
b) Alternate procedures are established and used,
c) SATCOM voice coverage is available over the intended route of flight, and
d) If SATCOM Voice is to be used over the intended route of flight, SATCOM Voice short
codes (INMARSAT) or direct dial commercial numbers (IRIDIUM) must be available. If
not available, prior coordination with appropriate ATS (FIR) facility is required.
1). Prior to each flight a crewmember will use the SATCOM Data Link to transmit and receive
information to ensure that the system is operational.
2). Prior to each flight a crewmember will review the SATCOM system User’s Guide or Manual
to ensure that coverage exists for the intended route of flight.
1) If the antenna came lose in flight, inspect the aircraft for damage. If damage is found, contact
Cessna Customer Support Structures Team for aircraft evaluation.
2) Remove the HF Antenna. Refer to 525B Maintenance Manual, Chapter 23 for the appropriate
HF installation.
3) Bag and stow any loose connectors.
4) Cover any openings in the fuselage with aerodynamic tape.
(O) May be inoperative provided alternate procedures are established and used.
NOTE: Any function or weather product which operates normally may be used.
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
Crew shall use other available means to obtain weather information such as HIWAS or
FLIGHTWATCH as well as radar.

1) Pull and secure the CABIN BRIEFER circuit breaker on the CO-pilot’s circuit breaker
panel.
2) A crew member will use the PA system or turn and face the cabin occupants to make
appropriate announcements.
(O) May be inoperative provided alternate procedures are established to brief cabin occupants.
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
A crew member must use the PA system or turn and face the passengers from the cockpit to
make the appropriate announcements.
(O) May be inoperative provided associated hand microphone is secured by another means.
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
Crew must secure the microphone with alternate means( i.e. Velcro, tie wraps, etc)

1) If equipment utilizing the affected power source is battery operated, make sure that
adequate battery life is available and backup batteries for intended operating times are
available.
2) Use alternate cockpit/cabin power source if power source is available and within close
proximity.
(O) May be missing or inoperative provided an alternate means of securing and displaying
documents is used.
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
Place the required documents in a clear plastic bag and display them in a manner that is visible
to the appropriate authorities, crew members and passengers.
Using the appropriate seat manual, remove and store the affected armrest(s).
NOTE: Refer to the appropriate Cessna Maintenance Manual and/or seat manual for information
of the individual aircraft installation.

25-10-01-03 Flight Crew Seat (per seat) Recline/Tilt Function

Using the appropriate seat manual, secure the seat in the desired position.
NOTE: Refer to the appropriate Cessna Maintenance Manual and/or seat manual for information
of the individual aircraft installation.
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
1) Prior to flight, a crew member shall occupy the affected seat and fasten the restraining
system.
2) Make sure full flight control movement and brake application are available.
3) Make sure all necessary controls and equipment can be reached while restrained.
Using the appropriate seat manual, secure the seat in the desired position.
NOTE: Refer to the appropriate Cessna Maintenance Manual and/or seat manual for information
of the individual aircraft installation.
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
1) Prior to flight, a crew member shall occupy the affected seat and fasten the restraining
system.
2) Make sure full flight control movement and brake application are available.
3) Make sure all necessary controls and equipment can be reached while restrained.

25-10-02 Pilot or Copilot Eye Locator Reference Ball

(O) May be inoperative or missing provided alternate procedures are developed and used for
eye position reference.
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
1) Prior to flight, a crew member shall occupy the affected seat and fasten the restraining
system to ensure the following conditions are met:
(a) Make sure full flight control movement and brake application.
(b) Make sure access to all necessary controls and equipment.
2) Position the affected seat(s) so the pilot align the eyeball locator bracket so that the following
sight picture with the bracket is achieved:
(a) Eyeball locator base is flat.
(b) The flange opposite to the affected seat is aligned for a straight edge.
If the armrest is missing, use the appropriate seat manual and secure the seat in the full upright
position.
NOTE: Refer to the appropriate Cessna Maintenance Manual and/or Interiors Manual for
information of the individual aircraft installation.
25-20-01-02-10 Passenger Seat(Including Side Facing Seat) (Per Seat) Seat Controls

27-20-01 Rudder Pedal Adjustment

27-31-01 Electric Elevator Trim

Deactivate the electric elevator trim system and check for proper manual trim operation.
1) Pull and secure the PITCH TRIM circuit breaker on the pilot’s circuit breaker panel.
2) Exercise the pitch trim using the manual trim wheel from stop to stop. Visually verify trim
tab movement and direction matches trim wheel input.
3) Pitch trim should be checked for full travel, smoothness, and proper operation.
NOTE: If the electric trim is inoperative, it should be confirmed the problem is not in the
mechanical trim system and the failure does not affect manual trim.
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
1) The flightcrew must exercise the pitch trim using the manual trim wheel from stop to stop.
2) Visually verify trim tab movement and direction matches trim wheel input.
(O) May be inoperative in the unlocked position provided full flight control and throttle movement
is available.
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
During the flight control check in the Before Taxi checklist, verify both throttles can be moved
freely.

28-41-01 Fuel Quantity Indication
A/2/1
1) During preflight planning, increase the fuel required for the route to be flown by 10%. Also
plan the route so that the flight will last no longer than three hours while remaining within one
hour of a suitable airport at all points.
2) To achieve a known quantity in the affected tank, the tank may be emptied using defueling
procedures or sumped then fueled to a known quantity. It may be completely fueled, or fuel
may be transferred out of the tank until it is empty.
3) To track fuel use, operators may use a fuel log or develop their own procedure. This can
include matched fuel flow techniques, use of the FMS fuel quantity system or other means.
4) During flight, disconnect the autopilot every twenty minutes. Make sure a crew member has
control of the aircraft prior to disconnecting the autopilot. Check for any abnormal roll
tendencies. Check for roll trim required.
1) Flight crew shall brief the loss of low fuel quantity warning system on the affected side.
2) Flight crew shall monitor fuel balance during flight to make sure adequate fuel remains in
both wing fuel tanks for planned mission.

30-10-01 Wing Bleed Air Anti Ice System

Install a Blocking Plate on the Unserviceable Wing Anti-Ice Pressure-Regulating Shutoff Valve.
NOTE: The blocking plate installation on the left and the right wing anti-ice pressure-regulating
shutoff valves is typical.
1) Fabricate a 0.020 inch (0.51 mm) thick blocking plate from Type 301, 1/2-hard stainless steel
of the applicable diameter.
2) Disconnect the bleed air tube upstream from the wing anti-ice pressure-regulating shutoff
valve. Refer to 525B Maintenance Manual Chapter 30, Airfoil Anti-Ice System - Maintenance
Practices.
3) Install the blocking plate on the wing anti-ice pressure-regulating shutoff valve, between the
valve and the bleed air tube.
4) Connect the bleed air tube to the wing anti-ice pressure-regulating shutoff valve. Refer to
525B Maintenance Manual Chapter 30, Airfoil Anti-Ice System - Maintenance Practices.
1) Start at least one engine and select the associated bleed air source on.
2) Verify the de-ice boots on both horizontal stabilizers are being held down to the contour of
the leading edges.

30-20-01 Engine Anti-Ice System

Install a Blocking Plate on the Unserviceable Engine Air Inlet Anti-Ice Pressure-Regulating
Shutoff Valve.
NOTE: The blocking plate installation on the left and the right engine air inlet anti-ice pressure-
regulating shutoff valves is typical.
1) Fabricate a 0.020 inch (0.51 mm) thick blocking plate from Type 301, 1/2-hard stainless steel
of the applicable diameter.
2) Disconnect the bleed air tube upstream from the unserviceable engine air inlet anti-ice
pressure-regulating shutoff valve. Refer to 525B Maintenance Manual Chapter 30, Engine
Inlet Anti-Ice - Maintenance Practices.
3) Install the blocking plate on the unserviceable engine air inlet anti-ice pressure-regulating
shutoff valve, between the valve and the bleed air tube.
4) Connect the bleed air tube to the unserviceable engine air inlet anti-ice pressure-regulating
shutoff valve. Refer to 525B Maintenance Manual Chapter 30, Engine Inlet Anti-Ice -
Maintenance Practices.
Install a Blocking Plate on the Windshield Bleed Air Anti-Ice Control Valve.
1) Fabricate a 0.020 inch (0.51 mm) thick blocking plate from Type 301, 1/2-hard stainless steel
of the applicable diameter.
2) Disconnect the bleed air tube upstream from the bleed air control valve. Refer to 525B
Maintenance Manual Chapter 30, Windshield Anti-Ice - Maintenance Practices.
3) Install the blocking plate on the bleed air control valve, between the valve and the bleed air
tube.
4) Connect the bleed air tube to the unserviceable control valve. Refer to 525B Maintenance
Manual Chapter 30, Windshield Anti-Ice - Maintenance Practices.
