    CPT Alfredo G Ballera Jr began his service in the Armed Forces of the Philippines in 2002 and has since had a long career that has involved numerous encounters with enemy forces in the southern Philippines, being wounded in an ambush in 2008, rising through the ranks to become a Captain, and taking on various leadership roles and assignments within the AFP including participating in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations as well as completing staff courses.
