Write an essay (two-page, double-spaced) on the topic, “Education and

training is as essential as the ships of the navy”…, avoiding the use of the passive
voice of the verb in sentences.
Education and Training is as Important as the Ships of the Navy

Education is a systematic process of learning with a goal of acquiring knowledge

while training is a process of learning something in order to perform it. In the line of our

work, education and training are indispensable components, where we must both

endure and enjoy in order to become better version of ourselves.

Education and training are imperative. It broadens our perspective in other fields

besides our expertise. It enhances our skills that are already innate in us, and develops

other abilities for us to be able to perform other tasks and functions that our work, as

soldiers, demands from us.

On the other hand, ships of the navy secure and protect the territorial waters of

the country, the same as how education and training are means to further secure and

protect the well-being of country through their gallant soldiers.

Similar to how naval ships are material assets of our country, educated and well-

trained members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines can also be considered as one

of countries strong assets. A ship cannot be built without knowledgeable and

experienced craftsmen. It cannot also sail without adept and capacitated captain and

crews. Imagine how disastrous if there is a fleet of advanced ships and crafts, but has

crews without knowledge and training?

In as much as we would like to modernize our assets and facilities, it is also

essential to educate and train our soldiers to adapt on the current technology,

communications, and trends in our field.
