Our Asian Fusion Kitchen, featured in last month’s Cuisine Magazine, also

Monthly as “truly exceptional”.
“This new plant will enable the continued growth in the manufacturing of our automobile engine fan
units by providing increased production capacity and the ability to fulfill larger orders in a shorter time
span,” said Gordon Mackay, Axial Corporation COO.
Axial Corporation is currently the largest domestic producer of industrial fans that are installed in such
products as vehicles, computers, and generators. Its profits totaled $78 million last year. Axial
Corporation was founded by Frank R. Hudson 56 years ago and at that time employed just five full-
time workers. The business has since grown into one of the largest employers in the area, making it
an important pillar of the local economy. With the addition of a new manufacturing facility, Axial
Corporation plans to hire hundreds of new employees by the end of the year.
As this project is due for completion next year, it will be subject to the European regulations
coming into effect on January 1, which means we need to have collaboration among our
construction team managers like yourselves, our purchasers, and our suppliers to ensure we
meet all requirements. If not, we could face a potential fine or costly reconstruction. Both are
outcomes we simply must avoid if this is to remain a profitable exercise.
I was informed yesterday that we had ordered a kind of cement that is only authorized for
residential use and not for commercial real estate development. Fortunately, the representative
at Masonry spotted the error and alerted me immediately. A similar situation with floor titles also
showed up when I went through the supplies inventory.
From now on, please send all purchase order forms to my assistant, Mandy Wilson
(mwilson@keystone.com). I will review them to keep these problems from arising in the future.
Masonry staff members have been instructed to refuse any orders without my signature. While
this may mean a delay in procurement, it will save us money in the long run.
Yours sincerely,
Joan Grant

I am currently working on a novel set in Scotland, mainly Edinburg, in the 17 th century, and I am
searching for an illustrator for this work. My publisher, Harper & Collins, is willing to offer generous
compensation and has given me the discretion to select a collaborator. I find you an ideal creative
partner.
Would you consider working with me on this endeavor? Your agent informed me that you
are currently in Lyon. I will be there myself next week. Please feel free to contact me at
Jryan@modernart.us if you are available to meet.
Sincerely,
Jean Ryan

I am intrigued by your invitation and would be more than happy to discuss the project you
describe. I am preparing to travel to Zurich next Friday, but let me know where you will be staying
and when, and we will find time to explore your proposal further.
Best wishes,
Merce Cunningham
