• Created land cover prediction and vulnerability maps at regional and country levels to the year 2050 in support of
the ESRI Half-Earth Project.
• Produced current and historical land cover maps of coastal environments using a variety of image classification
techniques (e.g. supervised classification, artificial neural networks) to quantify mangrove deforestation and
aquaculture development under a Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation Grant.
• Validated and cleaned final land cover mosaics to ensure map accuracy, eliminate false inter-date land changes,
and reduce errors of commission/omission.
GIS Research Fellow | Clark University & Human-Environment Regional Observatory 2018- 2019
• Conducted field data collection of urban tree inventory, database management, residential interviews, and geospatial
analysis in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR).
• Presented findings to Department of Conservation & Recreation and USDA staffs in Massachusetts.
• Modeled ecosystem services provided by urban forests under current and future conditions by energy savings,
pollution removal, stormwater runoff, and gross carbon sequestration. Paper submitted to Urban Forestry &
Urban Greening for publication.
GIS Consultant | Clark University & Mass Audubon Solar Field Development Project 2018- 2019
