NATIONAL IN-SERVICE TRAINING

Personal Reflection:

As the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has forced teachers attending from traditional face-to-
face seminars. I was difficult to accept the new normal life. For teachers like me, concerned about the
rise of online and distance education, this emergency attack into online teaching anticipates a turn to
more permanent and widespread online delivery of coursework because this is the new normal.

As I watched and listened to the webinar today, teaching is really challenging. Learning or using
the technology is a challenge to or problems for the instructors like me because I am not good and
excellent when it comes to technology. But through this webinar, I gained knowledge on the following:

a. The DepEd Learning Management- we can browse the link https://lms.deped.gov.ph

b. Teachers’ TV Broadcasters – underwent thorough trainings with the veteran TV personalities
and observed the health protocols during the taping.
c. Edtech offers different courses- no need to go to other countries to secure international
certificate. Edtech offers it all.
d. How to use the Microsoft office 365
e. The importance of Etulay to teachers, parents, and students
f. How to handle effective Synchronous and Asynchronous classes. It must be well planned and as
much as possible complete in instructional materials.
g. Portfolio -based assessment - Oblige the students to have portfolio to apply what they had
learnt from the subject.

The webinar ended with questions and answer portion.
