ORIENTATION PROGRAM FOR NEW ENTRANTS (OPEN)

August 23-24 to October 31, 2018
Business Development Center

I. RATIONALE
It is a mere fact that Northwest Samar State University is a growing and progressing university that is
recurrently hiring new batches of human resources of both teaching and non-teaching. Hiring of additional
human resources mainly address the needs of the university in delivering the services to its clienteles.
With the entrants of the newly hired human resources in the university, an orientation program should
be conducted for them to be well-acquainted and well-informed of the organizational structure, operations
and its system. Furthermore, the orientation program is designed to help familiarize new hires with the way
the company operates and the people they will be working with. During the new employee orientation, the
agency’s human resources assigned in the different department has several important tasks to perform.
Likewise, employee orientation is a process to introduce new employee with agency’s policies,
procedure, organization vision, mission, goals and objective (Mckersie & Kaiser, 2006). Anderson (2008)
advocated that organization should design orientation program for new employees in order to give them
