Rates shall be inclusive of all lead, lifts, ascent, descent,
crossing of nallahs or any other obstructions. The rate
shall also be inclusive of blending of materials to achieve
specifications of B-2 soil, all dressing, leveling and
finishing of bank to final profiles, initial site clearance (if
any), demarcation and setting out of profile (if required),
cutting down of trees/ shrubs/ roots of vegetation
growth/ heavy grass etc, benching (30 cm vertical & 60
cm horizontal), including all lead ,lifts handling & re-
handling charges with all taxes, octroi & royalty etc as a
complete job. Arrangement of T&P (heavy vibratory
rollers, 10/12 Tonne, etc) for proper compaction and
necessary arrangement of watering shall be done (under
this item) by the contractor for achieving OMC and
required density (nothing extra will be paid for
compaction of earthwork under this item). The payment
shall be made by taking initial and finished cross section
at every 25m/change of profile and only the work falling
within the design profile shall be paid under this item.
Note:-(i) During execution ofwork, contractor
is to provide pegs @ 50 mtr c/c at 1 mtr away from the
toe of bank and the same is to be maintaned till
commissioning of doubling.
(ii) similarly center line pegs @ 50 mtr c/c are also to be
provided and maintaned for providing center line for the
track linking.
(iii) 5% deduction for shrinkage shall
be done on compacted earth work.
