ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT IN HEALTH

I. INTRODUCTON

Health education is essential if people are to learn how to live healthy lives and avoid
diseases. It helps them understand what health is and how to look after it, and also about the need
for health services and disease- control programs. Health education can show people that good health
and health services are a basic human right; it can explain that health services are important for
development.

II.OBJECTIVES
A) To maintain and improve the health of school children by preventing diseases, promoting health-
related knowledge, attitudes, skills, and practices. The Dep Ed's programs will keep it in step
with its targets, and pave the way for a more systematic and holistic approach in the
implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of its multifarious undertakings.
B)To expand early childhood care and education; Improving the quality of education; and providing
learning and life skills to young children.
C) To reduce Drop-out Rate.
D) To improve general health of pupils

III. ACTIVITIES
1. Medical/Dental Check-up (Barangay Health Center)
2. Deworming (Barangay Health Center)
3. Daily Hand washing and tooth brushing

V. RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Schedule deworming of pupils twice a year.
2. Conduct deworming of all pre-school and Grade 1 to 6 pupils under the supervision
of the municipal health unit personnel and assisted by Barangay Health Workers.
3. Conduct good hygiene practices at home thru:
-proper hand washing, proper tooth brushing, wearing of slippers/shoes, drinking of potable
water, Clipping of fingernails.
VI. NARRATIVE
The Barangay Health Workers with the help of Rural Health Unit conducted the yearly
deworming activities of children in the barangay. Because of the Covid 19 pandemic, the health
workers went house to house to dewormed the children of barangay Cabayaoasan.
The school health leader Rosela P. Umayam with her co- teachers explained to parents about
the proper hand washing, tooth brushing and good health habits to the children through facebook
messenger.
The dental and medical checkup was done at the barangay health center or at the municipal
health center..
The pupil’s were given health kits for tooth brushing and hand washing, sponsored by DepEd.

VII. ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The pupils, parents, barangay health workers and teachers participated actively in all the
activities.
