About Scoring
Live Yes! INSIGHTS score ranges were determined by tracking and analyzing results from thousands of people, both
with and without arthritis. These measures are considered “validated,” meaning the ranges and scores have been
proven to accurately determine different levels of ability or impairment so some score ranges are larger than others.
On some scales, you will see the words “mild impairment,” “moderate impairment” or “severe impairment.” These are
common medical terms used to describe and/or categorize limitations.

INSIGHTS Scores Defined

A green bar means that on average in that particular domain, patients in your area are “within normal limits.”
Within normal limits means that patients are doing as well as people in the general population. No action is
needed.

A yellow  bar means that on average in that particular domain, patients in your area are somewhat below
normal limits. This means that patients are doing slightly less well than people in the general population.
Numbers in this range should be monitored.

An orange bar means that on average in that particular domain, patients in your area are moderately below
normal limits. This means that patients are not doing as well as people in the general population. Numbers in
this range are a cause for concern. Appropriate resources and support should be offered.

A red bar means that on average in that particular domain, you are well below normal limits. This means that
patients in your area are not doing nearly as well as people in the general population. Numbers in this range
are alarming. Appropriate resources and support are urgently needed.
