Observation
It is very important to care about politics because you should know what is going on
around you. Also, it is important to have a say in what is going on around you. The
political decisions people make will affect many lives. Many people see politics as the
government and the laws being made, and that is true, but it is way more complicated
than that. Every law that is made will impact many. Sometimes the decisions will affect
people in a bad way. Every vote that you make will either break people or make people.

Analysis
Learning about politics and life as a citizen is part of the transition to adulthood. During
this stage young people in most Western democracies are introduced to political
processes and issues, as well as a range of political activities including voting and
participation in social movements. However, the youth of today have been given such a
bad name when it is only a minority of people who are creating social disruption. Most
youthful people are motivated and long to do well in everything they do, which means
they could be a very important aspect in politics.
While our allegiance to God takes precedence over our allegiance to any state, we
acknowledge the vital function of government as a principal vehicle for the ordering of
society. Because we know ourselves to be responsible to God for social and political life

Reaction
I believe, that the moment we start to turn our backs on politics, is the moment we lose
power over our lives. It´s the moment we give the people in power all the capacities they
need, to take our lives and transform them into whatever they wish. The moment we
stop caring about politics, is the moment we lose control.
This may sound very melodramatic to you, and maybe it is, but I want you to understand
the sheer significance of this issue: As young people especially, we need to stand up for
what we believe in. We need to care about politics because they concern us more than
anyone. We need to follow elections, need to vote as soon as we can and need to make
our opinions clear.
As young people, we have the world in our hands. When we take our eyes off politics, is
when we drop it.

Reflection
Y ou should care about politics because the decisions people make will affect many
lives. For example, if someone wanted to build on land, it might be good for the people
who worked in the area, but residents who lived nearby and loved the land and relied on
the land for water and food, might be devastated. Sometimes things that sound like
good ideas might be very devastating later.

These are just a few reasons why you should care about politics. Politics are very
important and very complicated. Some people might not care about politics, but when
something bad happens, they will regret not voting.

Conclusion
One reason you should care about politics is because you should always know what is
going on around you. For example, if a new law is made is made in your area, you
might want to make sure that you and the people around you know that a new law has
been made so that no one breaks the law without even knowing it. Also, if something
dangerous is happening around you or someone you know, you want to be aware if
someone is breaking the law. It is very important to know what is happening around
you.

Another reason you should care about politics is because you should have a say in
what will happen. Everyone should have a say in what will happen, because we all live
side by side with each other, and it would not be fair if someone was left out. Also, each
vote makes a difference in the ways that we live. It is always important to to share your
opinion. The way you vote will affect many people, and their everyday life.

Application
Firstly, young people have different perspectives and a host of different ideas. By
allowing them to voice their opinion on most national issues can open and move the
political world forward. This is not only good for society, but necessary for society. If the
youth are not allowed to engage with politics now, they may lose interest when they
grow up to take responsibilities of society.

Recommendation
I think there are plenty of exciting opportunities for the young to get involved. Partaking
in social organizations, such as Youth Parliament, is a prime opportunity for a young
person to get involved. In the UK, for example, youth parliament is open to 11-18 year
olds who wish to use their voice in creative ways in order to bring about social change.
