Measuring range 1.1 - 107.0 mg/l SiO2 (0.5 - 50.0 mg/l Si):

Spectroquant ® Pretreated sample 4.0 ml Pipette into a test tube.

Silicate (Silicic Acid) Test Si (20 - 40 °C)

Reagent Si-1
Reagent Si-2

2.0 ml Add with pipette and mix.

Leave to stand for 2 min (reaction time A).

1. Method Reagent Si-3 4 drops 1) Add and mix.
In sulfuric solution silicate ions react with molybdate ions to form a yellow
heteropoly acid that is determined photometrically. Leave to stand for 2 min (reaction time B), then fill the measurement
The method is analogous to APHA 4500-SiO2 C. sample into a 10-mm cell, and measure in the photometer.

Hold the bottle vertically while adding the reagent!
