GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Valve summaries, requisitions, and purchase orders shall specify any special
requirements when deviating from this specification. See Air Products
ES 578.01 for suffixes and method used to add special requirements to this
specification's designator.

All valves shall be new and of recent manufacture. Air Products valve number
and purchase order number shall appear on a tag made and affixed to valve in
accordance with Air Products ES 578.10.

NOTES:

1. Valves shall conform to API 602.

2. For pressure/temperature ratings of valves, see ASME B16.34 and MSS SP-84.
3. Valves shall be pressure tested in accordance with API 598 and
MSS SP-61.
4. When the /03 special requirement is specified in the valve summary, the
purchase requisition, and/or the purchase order, the end connection on the
upstream side of the vavle shall be changed from threaded to ANSI B16.11
socket welded. The downstream end connection shall remain threaded.
