Changing of the Storing Bar (Fig.1 and 2) Hold Quicktix in the left hand, the tube (C) facing right. Pull the storing slide (@) to the right, end and lock it by turning it slightly to the right. Remove all travellers which may have been left on the bar, Uniatch the storing bar (J) by a vigorous pressure (in the direction of the arrow, see fig.) from the holder (E) which at the same time serves as a knife. Do not loosen the screw (). insert the new storing bar into the holder (D) and latch it nto the holder (E) by pressing in the Gitection of the (Fig.2) I necessary, the holder (E) can be newly adjusted by loosening the screw (F). For choice and range of storing bar, see separate table, Push the stroing slide (@) on the bar. 2. Loading with Travellers (Fig 3.) For adjusting Quicktix to @ new traveller number, close the aperture by means of the adjusting knob (K), Hold the Quickfix in the left hand, the tube (C) facing right. Pull the storing slide (@) to the right end and lock it Push the ring traveller staple on to the storing bar (J), thus cutting automatically the wrapper, ‘As soon as a part of the staple has been pushed on to the bar, itis recommended to pull that part in the direction of the handle, Unlock the storing slide (@) and place it at the end of the traveller staple, Write with @ pencil on the white lable the number of the travellers which have just been loaded. 3, Adjusting the Traveller width (Fig.3) Take the Quickfix in the right hand, the tube (C) facing right. Unscrew the adjusting knob (K) with the left hand untl a gentle pressure on the black trigger () will properly release one traveller after the other from the staple. (The distance (L) should thus correspond to the traveller width.) The exact adjustment of the traveller width is essential for the proper function of the Quickfix 4. Adjusting the Distance (0) (Fig.4) ‘The Quicfix type 072 is provided with a cam screw (M), by turning i, the distance (0) can be changed, if necessary.
