Sub: Clarification regarding Contributory Schemes for Medical Facilities to

Employees & spouse on superannuation / to the spouse on death of the
employee during service (CHRC No. 869)

1.0 The revised OPD Ceilings under the Contributory Schemes for lVledical Facilities to
Employees & spouse on superannuation (CHRC No. 708) / to the spouse on death
of the employee during service (CHRC No. 709) has since been issued vide CHRC
No. 869/2019 dated 24.06.2019.

2.0 We are receiving various queries regarding applicability of quarterly OPD ceilings

3.0 ln the above context, it is clarified that the quarterly OPD ceilings shall continue to
be in vogue for the claims on certification basis as it is being done at present on
YTD basis i.e. an PRTMS beneficiary shall be able to claim upto Ya of their annual
ceiling in 1tt quarter, uplo Tz of their annual ceiling in 2nd quarter, upto T+ of their
annual ceiling in 3'd quarter and upto full amount in 4th quarter.
