Key takeaways from the Live Trials.

These Live Trials will:

- begin in January and end in April 2021,
- last about 5 hours per slot,
- involve all airlines arriving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport,
- be based on performance navigation, using satellite positioning data (RNP 1
paths) to the interception of the final approach axis, as per ILS or LOC or
RNP APCH.
- be the first step to deploy the continuous descent concept H24 at Paris-
Charles de Gaulle planned in December 2023,
- will be followed by an analysis period based on pilots and ATCOs
feedbacks and figures collected during the evaluation to build the next steps of
the experimentation.

Examples of special procedures:

- Aircraft announcing that they are not RNP1 capable,
o must inform ATC as soon as possible: « De Gaulle, [call sign], unable
RNP1, request vectoring to RWY [26L or 26R] »
o fly the corresponding INA 6W
o expect radar vectoring towards RWY 26L or 26R

- Aircraft requesting a long RWY for landing (for operational reasons only):
o must inform ATC at first contact with Charles De Gaulle Approach
o fly the corresponding INA 6W
o expect radar vectoring towards RWY 26L or 26R

- Traffic overload for RWY 27R, arrivals via MOPAR or LORNI are controlled
with radar vectoring towards RWY 26L or 26R.

- Traffic overload for RWY 26L or 26R, if unable RNP1 or long RWY request
for landing), the concerned aircraft is radar vectored towards RWY 27R or
27L.
