This cute little bear is made with

sculptural tubular peyote. It is


supported by two round inner
beads.

Materials and Tools


Size 11 seed beads: brown, cream & black
2 round inner beads: either wood, plastic,
clay, pearl, etc - approximately 10 mm wide

Use beads that are a little fatter than usual from this point onwards - to ensure you have a teddy bear with sturdy legs,

THE RIGHT EAR - BRICK STITCH

Made with 9 cream beads - add them to the 4 cream beads already on the right side of the head.
Thread a needle onto the thread located on the top of the head.

THE ARMS
The arms are built onto the stubby little stumps at each shoulder.
Complete each arm with 3 rows of brown beads. There are 3 beads per row. Each row places a bead on the top of the arm, with a pair of
beads locked side-by-side on the underside.

THE FIRST ARM


Hold the teddy bear up-side-down, & identify beads A, B, C and
D on one of the shoulder stumps. Note: bead B is tucked inside the
armpit .
Use the thread you used to make the ears.
Run your needle down to one of the arm stumps (it doesn’t matter
which side of the bear you start with) & exit from bead C, as shown.

Pick up 3 brown beads, & Go up through the 1st bead you
