EFFECTS OF FAKENEWS DISSEMINATION TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

STUDENTS’ PSYCHOSOCIAL PERSPECTIVES

Statement of the Problems

This study aims to determine the effect of fake news dissemination to senior high

school students’ psychosocial perspectives. Specifically, it seeks to answer the following

research problems:

1. What is the profile of senior high school students in terms of:

1.1 sex

1.2 age

1.3 year level

1.4 socio-economic status

2. What is the effect of fake news dissemination to senior high school students’

psychosocial perspectives in terms of:

2.1 mental

2.2 behavioral

2.3 emotional

2.4 social aspects

3. Is there a significant difference in the effect of fake news dissemination to senior high

school students’ psychosocial perspectives when data are analyzed according to

profile?

Hypothesis
1. There is no significant difference in the effect of fake news dissemination to senior

high school students’ psychosocial perspectives when data are analyzed according to

profile.

Figure 1 presents the interrelationship of the independent and dependent variables,


The independent variable in the study is the fake news dissemination. The dependent variables

are the effects of fake news to students’ psychosocial perspectives. These variables are needed

to determine the students’ psychosocial perspectives such as mental, behavioral, emotional

and social aspects. In addition, the profile of the senior high school students such as sex, age,

year level and socio-economic status are also considered in this study.
