What is This Module About?
This Module is structured that demonstrates knowledge and skill that will lead
to becoming an ideal entrepreneur and to help pupils to produce or make simple products that
can be a source of their income. It covers 4 competencies which are the following:
1.) Factors to be considered in producing simple products
2.) Follow the steps in preparing and cooking the Cheezy Puto Pudding
3.) Identify the kinds of tools to be used in producing product
4.) Perform mathematical computations in getting the selling price.

produce simple products. Starting your own business entails serious hard work. It
involves, among others, such as activities as research, planning, testing, developing,
marketing, and the like.

Simple Product to Produce?

So, you want to start a simple business even as early as 12 years old?
Congratulations on making that this important decision!
Before even start thinking about the first simple product to produce, you should
have some goals or target for your business. This is important to set expectations right
up front and know what your general strategy is. First thing to remember always are the
factors and hints in putting up a business. You do research, survey and observe on what
are the most in demand product, the likes of the consumers, and products that are easy
to do, affordable but high in quality.
In this lesson , there is a sample and simple product to produce. which is the
“Cheezy Puto Pudding.”

HERE IT IS!
1. Enumerate the ingredients in cooking or steaming Cheezy
Puto Pudding

1-1/2 cups flour


1 cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
3 pcs eggs
¾c evaporated milk
¼C Margarine softened / butter
1 tsp vanilla
200 g Cheese
1c water

PROCEDURES
1. Grease mold with melted butter or cooking oil
2. Combined and mix all dry ingredients in one bowl.
3. Second bowl, combine egg, evaporated milk, melted butter, vanilla
and water.
4. Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients. mix until free of lumps.
5. Arrange puto molds with cheese slice on top in the steamer
6. Cover and steam for 10 - 20 minutes over low heat.

Tools and Utensils in Cooking Cheezy Puto


Pudding with their function

A Cook should be familiar with the correct tools and utensils in the kitchen. The
job of cooking requires specific kitchen tools and utensils for proper and efficient
preparation of food, enhance the cooking process and make serving food better. It is
very easy for a food processor to manipulate a particular device if he knows their
respective functions .These are the five(5) common tools in cooking Cheezy Puto
Pudding

1. Steamer

Or steam cooker is a small kitchen appliance used to


cook or prepare various foods with steam heat by means
of holding the food in a closed vessel reducing steam
escape.

2.Molder

Or mould is a container used in various


techniques of food preparation to shape the finished
dish.

3. Measuring cups and spoons

Are kitchen utensil used primarily to measure the


volume of liquid or bulk solid cooking ingredients
such as flour and sugar, especially for volumes
from about 50 mL (2 fl oz) upwards.

4. Mixing Bowls

Are used for storage, working doughs, mixing dry


ingredients, mixing salads, organizing, and more.

5. Whisk

Is a cooking utensil which can be used to blend


ingredients smooth or to incorporate firm foam to
make meringue, or to whip cream into whipped
cream.

SOFT MOIST BANANA CAKE


INGREDIENTS
All ingredients should be room tempt.
2 cups all-purpose flour ……226 gms
¾ c white sugar…….150gms or ½ c white sugar and ½ c brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
4 large extra ripe bananas (1 1/2 cups mashed)
2 large eggs
½ c butter (melted and cold) …113 gms
1 tsp vanilla extract

DIRECTION
Preparation 15 m
Cooking Time 1hr
Ready In 1 hr 15 m
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
2. Combine bananas, sugar, egg, and butter together in a bowl.
3. Mix flour and baking soda together in a separate bowl; stir into banana mixture until batter is
just mixed.
4. Stir salt into butter.
5. Pour butter into the prepared loaf pan.
6. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out
clean, about 1 hour
