What is a blog?
A blog is a type of website in the internet which also goes by the name of weblog.
This type of website contains writers who tell about their personal experiences, their
thoughts, and observations about certain places, events, things or issues they have been
involved in. Then, they post these on this website to share them to others. Since the content
is about personal experiences, the website serves as a personal online diary for these
writers. Those who write about their experiences in this website are called bloggers.
Some of the popular topics or issues published on the blog are those in the field of
music, food, travel, and beauty and fashion. These types of blogs are usually ranked by
their popularity based on the number of searches made on Google. What is nice about
blogs besides the chronological log of experiences is that they provide the readers facts
and information about a place, restaurant menus or recipes, beauty and cosmetic tips, and
fashion.
What are specific topics/issues found in each type of blog? Consider the following:
2. Travel blog - contains travelling experiences to both local and international places,
accompanied with pictures including beautiful sceneries, places to eat, hotels and
lodging, shops and directions how to go there for the internet users.
4. Food blog – contains places to eat popular menus or recipes the bloggers love, and
how to go to the caterings/restaurants. There are also critiques of food eaten, prices
and restaurants they recommend for the readers to visit.
5. Beauty blog – contains beauty products, how they are used, and what they do to the
skin, face and body, prices and ingredients of specific products are also found in this
blog. There are also do-it-yourself beauty products like face masks. Reviews on well-
known brands to customers, make-up looks, and hoe to do a makeover are interesting
topics to read.
