Language learning is different in every person.

There are some who can easily

grasp and have quick understanding of new information that are fed to them. There
are as well those who have slow progress in absorbing and adapting a new
language. This can be basically trace back to the genes or to the brain functioning
somehow.

So, does having a high IQ have to do with learning a language easily.

Well, it doesn’t apply to all but to some extent IQ can help people in learning a
language quickly

As we all have known that language learning is a difficult battle that learners have
to challenge themselves with and learning it doesn’t come handy.

That’s why teachers teaching strategies can have very good impact to students
learning a new language. Since language learning is not a content based teaching
but a language itself.

Their training and approaches basically are the primary foundation in teaching for
language to be delivered that would create easy bridging to learning and
understanding a language.

Language learning for all types of brain functioning needs patience, time,
outspoken personality and good memory to process and eventually produce a
language. So whether a person is smart or not that really smart, they both need to
have these qualities to learn a new language. IQ is not the only one thing that is
needed. What does it take if someone who has high IQ but doesn’t have the
qualities mentioned above, it is still useless.

No matter how smart a person is if his understanding to language doesn’t sit in

easily, maybe because they struggle improving their verbal capabilities of a new
language as sometimes they are considered introvert, working mostly with their
brains. They are more on a mental functioning, which means understanding things
mentally like how a particular system works as a whole which relies ultimately to a
single item interrelated to the rest like calculating, numbers, chemistry or physics
etc. However, with this skill, somehow, it can help them learn a language as long
as they take time not to rush it.
Language learning needs patience as learners have to know all fundamental rules
and vocabulary to produce a language. It also needs time as language learning
doesn’t guarantee quick results. It takes our time to process, and integrate the
skills, to be able to speak, read, listen and write the new language fluently. It also
does need our being outspoken, since language needs to be applied to a specific
environment and different situations, through speaking it. This is a very useful way
to improve the language being learned. Lastly, it takes skills to be able to
memorize, or be familiar with the words and rules to produce it. So having IQ is
just a plus factor since this intelligence can help learners to process, to
comprehend, have the retention to remember and put together new information
quickly compared to slower ones. But with the integration of those qualities I
mentioned above, learning a new language will come easy. In every language for
fluency to takes place, practice and dedication are needed to achieve it
