The 2034 fin Condenser tubes installed in York Chiller 04 Model YKWTWSK7- DLGS, located at Aramco
District Cooling Plant (DCP), Dhahran – KSA.

Eddy Current Test (ECT) was carried out on above mentioned Chiller on 10 th Mar 2021 – 25th
Mar 2021. The ECT was conducted using MS 5800 with four channel multi-frequency
techniques in which differential and absolute signals were adjusted in accordance with the
ASME Code Section V, Article 8, Appendix 2, latest edition. Additionally, another channel was
adjusted in an absolute mode to primary detect dimensional changes such as wall thinning,
freeze bulges, saddle damage, etc. A fourth channel used special MIX Channel compensating
type coils to primarily detect defects under baffle plate. Pertinent test findings and comments
are summarized as follows.

CONDENSER Some tubes with moist and Required Proper cleaning and
mud. air blower to vaporize the
tubes.
Some tubes with ID Metal Accepted as per section
loss 0<=20 code.
