With the fast development of internet techniques, data and communication technology is being more and more employed in curricula, and learning portfolios may be mechanically retrieved and maintained as leamers act through e-learning platforms. NPTEL provided open access to hundreds and thousands of learners to take the preferred courses and helped to become experts in a particular area. This paper deseribes the impact of the online courses (NPTEL) on the learners and challenges and learning’s from the online courses. The participants comprised 114 faculty, who were surveyed regarding their learning experiences, motivation, challenges and intentions to use NPTEL. And what can be improved from the Faculty and student point of view? © 2020 The Authors, Published by Elsevier B.V. is an open aecess article under the CC BY-NC-ND license (hitp/cteativecommons org licenses/b) esponsibility of the scienifi committe ofthe 9th World Engineering Education Forum 2019. Keywords: Online courses, Learning's Challenges, Motivation Several instructors and students commented on their ability to focus a lot of their attention on the content of the course and Lessons. on-line learning permits for college students to figure at a time and an area that’s compatible with their learning wants (Thomson, 2010)(1|.In agreement with the author online courses provide the environment to utilize their comfortable time and place not only that even slow learners also can catch the concepts by repeatedly listing to the Video lectures. In agreement with the author online courses impact on the instructors to uparade the skills depends on the workforce or industry or in the organization and challenges like to achieve any key targeted areas these courses provide emergency training to achieve the goal [2]. is found that As a faculty or as students? learning performance in an online learning environment could be influenced by their readiness to adopt this innovative learning approach{3] in agreement with the authors the always online courses are opted by the ficulty or students based on their enthusiasm to improve their technical skills . The expanding prominence and number of online projects and course in advanced education require proceeded with thoughtfulness regarding the structure of instructional conditions to upgrade understudies’ learning [4] () © 2020 The Authors. This survey reviewed the rapid advancement of technology and how it has greatly impacted on online courses. Our review found that few studies were trying to explore how to progress toward online instructions that would be more adaptable to individual learners” needs and the Motivation behind to take online courses forthe instructor for updating skills of the workforce and expand the capacity for education in new subject areas Students: Young generation most probably engaged with smart phones and social media instead of wasting their time online courses encouraged them to learn new technologies and improvised their subject knowledge. 1, Method 1.1 Data Analysis Conducted survey from registered and completed online course instructors and from the under graduated students by circulated Google forms, Number of participant's registered 80 and completed their courses are 50 and motivation 10 taken the online courses 2.1 Participants for online courses S.no Name of the Participents | Branch Online course name 1__| DrOP Suresh EEE | Power System Engineering 2 | Mr-K Suresh EEE _| Principles of Digital Communications 3 | MrRNaresh EEE _| Electrical Machines - Il 4 | MeN Ravi EEE | Electrical Machines = Il S| Mr-T-Srinivasulu EEE | Principles of Digital Communications 6__| Mr-Ch Suresh EEE _ | Modern Digital Communication Techniques 7__| Mr. S.
