Boeing 737-300 Transit Check
ON ARRIVAL
a) Ensure wheel chocks are placed and parking brakes are released.
b) Review technical Log book and take corrective actions if any defect reported by
flight crew.
General
1.
c) Review snags and rectification carried out at out stations and take appropriate
action.
d) Check on board documents folder and ensure that all the documents are in
placed as per the index.
WALK AROUND INSPECTION
a. Carry out general walk around of aircraft and check for any structural

2. damage/FOD.
b. Also check for any fluid leakage.
c. Check for security of installation for doors and panels.
AIRCRAFT NOSE
Inspect the following:
a. Nose Radome and conductors strips.
b. Lower nose compartment doors.

c. NLG doors and seals.
3. d. NLG Wheels & tires for obvious damage and wear.
e. NLG down indicator aligned and Gear viewing window clean.
f. NLG shock strut for condition (i.e. leakage, cracks) and correct extension.
g. NLG wheel well hydraulic components and lines for damage and leakage.
h. Check the NLG wheel well for any loose or foreign objects.
i. Check the NLG Taxi light and harness for condition. A/V

4. e. Forward cargo door and cargo compartment.
f. Air conditioning bay access door.
g. Ground pneumatic connector panel.
h. Ram air deflector, inlet doors, and exhaust louvers.
i. Wing to body fairing L/H and R/H.
j. Forward water drain mast and belly drains.
k. Pitot/Static ports. A/V
RIGHT WING:
Check for general condition of the following:
a. Leading edge flaps and slats.

b. Lower wing surface, flame arrestor pressure relief valve

c. Trailing edge flaps, Aileron and tabs.
d. Refueling access panel closed.
f. Wing tip, Winglet and NACA panel
RIGHT ENGINE:
Check for general condition and evidence of oil/metal accumulation of:
a. Engine cowling, cowl latches, Fairings, access panels and blow out panels.

6. b. Spinner cone and visible fan blades.
c. Engine inlets and engine drains.
d. Thrust Reverser and tail pipe, exhaust tail plug, exhaust case struts and visible
turbine blades and 4th stage blades on LPT
RIGHT WHEEL WELL :
Check for general condition of the following:
a. Shock strut, wheels, tires. and brakes for wear & hydraulic leak

b. Horizontal and vertical stabilizer.

c. APU air inlet, exhaust and APU access door.
d. APU fire discharge discs.
e. Vortex generators, check condition and presence of static dischargers.
AFT FUSELAGE:
Check for general condition of the following:
a. Aft drain mast and belly drains.

9. b. Negative pressure relief valve.
c. Pressurization relief valve clear of obstructions.
d. Fuel drains mast.
e. Access doors and panels.
LEFT WHEEL WELL:
Check for general condition of the following:

a. Shock strut, wheels, tires and brakes for wear & hydraulic leak.

b. Gear indicator aligned and clean.
c. General condition and hydraulic fluid leak.
d. Landing gear doors and seals.
LEFT WING:
Check for general condition of the following:
a. Leading edge flaps and slats.

LEFT ENGINE:

a. Check for general condition and cleanliness.

b. Cockpit sliding windows and windshields for cleanliness cracks, delamination and
heat spot.
13. c. Cockpit seats and seat belts for condition and security.
d. Check fuel, Hydraulic, and engine oil gauges for correct reading.
f. Check instruments and all the panels, including instruments panels, overhead
panels, pilots auxiliary and side panels, Observers, control stand (panels) and C.B
A/V
panels for cleanliness, condition and security of installation
g. Check crew oxygen bottle pressure.
EXTERNAL:
Carry out general walk around of aircraft and carry out visual inspection of:
a. Pitot probe, static probe TAT probe and AOA probe
b. Check APU fire panel in wheel well.
Avionics
c. Check green oxygen discharge disk is present.

d. Check all exterior lights, VHF and radio antennas.
e. Check pitot probe on vertical stabilizer.
f. Check Static dischargers for presence and any damage.
g. Check outflow valve for obstruction. A/S
PRE DEPARTURE CHECKS
a. Electrical power source is available. A/V
b. Carry out refueling if required and check fuel gauges for correct reading as per
fuel load sheet
c. Portable water and lavatory serviced.
d. All access panels & service doors are closed.

15. e. Check all pallets are locked and secured at cargo deck.
f. Check lower cargo compartment for proper netting and safety.
g. Landing gears ground lock pins removed and placed in the cockpit.
h. Check technical log book for completion of all entries and aircraft released to
service
i. Ensure steering bypass pin is removed after tow bar has been disconnected
before taxi.
