Design theme-based authentic learning experiences.

Theme: Namumuhay ng may Paggalang sa Sekwalidad

Background:

Covid-19 virus affects the whole humanity regardless of its riches, power or location. It has far more reaching effect than
we could ever imagine for. It engulfed the whole aspect of our lives. This virus really put our lives upside down. It changes
everything that even our normal before are no longer normal today; we have now what we call “new normal”. But amidst
this Covid-19 craze, another virus is silently invading the lives of teenagers today, and this virus is the lure to pre-marital
sex. However, this virus or lure are quite immune to any known antibodies in the market. Despite of the fact that
Philippines is the only Christian country in the Southeast Asia, majority of adolescents now a days are involved in pre-
marital sex resulting to teenage pregnancy and for many schools drop-out. The advent of social media and technology all
the more induces many Filipino adolescence.

To effectively address this kind of challenge, socio-cultural institutions in our country work hard tirelessly to address this
seemingly unstoppable lure to pre-marital sex. Our national government doubled its effort to combat this lure that induces
many adolescences. But is it enough? Do we need to take part of this effort to eradicate this virus we call lure to pre-
marital sex? Do our parents, teachers or even our pastor and priest have the power to help us meet this problem?

As a youth that is socially and politically aware, how would you asses and analyze the socio-cultural institutions like
family, church and school used power in the exercised of their roles and functions as they responded to the issue of PRE-
MARITAL SEX among the adolescence of today?

Major Output

Analysis on how socio-cultural institutions like family, church and school used power in the exercised of their roles
and functions as they responded to the issue of PRE-MARITAL SEX among the adolescence and possible
recommendation to avoid it (pre-marital sex) through:
