IV. COURSE DESCRIPTION:


Foundations of Social Studies is designed to cover the basic social concepts and content important to all disciplines of social
studies. Upon completion of the course students will have a basic understanding of how human society has evolved, is
structured, and functions.

Long ago the Negritos, Indones and Malays the first 3 recorded early inhabitants in our country live in peace, until the
Spanish colonizers decides to explore Earth to find the legendary spice Island, but they accidentally land in or soil. After
a series of scrimmage the Spaniards finally won by using religion. After 333 long years of being colonized by the
Español, Americans being Americans bought our country for only $20 million, just like the Spaniards the Americans
also colonize us. However on December of 1941 the Imperial Japan launches a surprise attack on the bay of Hawaii and
they declare war on America, as a colony of America our country was colonized by the Japanese. After 4 years of being
a Japanese colony we are officially free and finally have our own independent government. Or are we?
Objectives 1. Discuss the importance of Philippine History in our Society
2. Impact of all the colonizer to the Filipino’s way of living
3. Explain the reason why this countries colonize us.
4. Students can compare what will happen if our country is never colonize.
