Module 4 • Differentiate elements and frames of leaderships from one another and cite the focus of their responsibility? Frames are “mental models,” or maps, that we use to make sense of the world around us. They are what bring meaning and definition to the problems we face and determine which solutions we will choose to pursue. In Frames of leadership a leader is able to reframe the way they perceive a situation and adjust the way they respond. The four frames that can be used as tools to guide our perception of effective leadership are the structural frame, the human resource frame, the political frame, and the symbolic frame. While Elements of Leadership focuses more on the individual himself, his character, his ability and skills to run people or his members. This is where your communication to others are being assessed. How well do you know yourself as a leader and knowing your people. How or what kind of leadership style are you fond of or most likely do and seeking improvements. These elements focus on you as the leader. These elements should be found in a good leader.
