Function
These additives deflocculate pigments through steric stabilization of the pigments. Due to the small particle sizes of the
deflocculated pigments, high gloss is achieved and color strength improved. Additionally, transparency and hiding power
are increased. These products reduce viscosity, subsequently, leveling is improved and higher pigment loading is possible.

Special Features and Benefits

ANTI-TERRA-U is the standard wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-borne industrial and
ANTI-TERRA-U
architectural coatings. It can also be utilized to provide excellent gelling in organophilic bentonites.

ANTI-TERRA-U 100 is the solvent-free version of ANTI-TERRA U, the standard wetting and
dispersing additive for solvent-borne industrial and architectural coatings. It can also be used to
provide excellent gelation of organophilic bentonites.
ANTI-TERRA-U 100 is effective for wetting and dispersing colored pigments, both organic and
ANTI-TERRA-U 100
inorganic.
No adverse effect has been observed on the pot-life of two-component systems or on the dry time
of oxidative cure binders. ANTI-TERRA-U 100 can also be used as a wetting and suspending additive
in water soluble coatings.

ANTI-TERRA-U 80 is the high solids version of ANTI-TERRA-U and therefore especially suitable for
ANTI-TERRA-U 80
solvent-free, high solids or amine-neutralized aqueous systems.

BYK-W 966 is the aromatic-free dilution of ANTI-TERRA U 100 in hydrocarbons.

DISPERBYK-101 has a broad application field similar to that of ANTI-TERRA-U. Additionally it can
DISPERBYK-101 be used to stabilize transparent iron oxides in wood stains. DISPERBYK-101 can also be used to gel
bentonites.

Special Note

The use of DISPERBYK-101 in clear coats which contain water may lead to a slight brown
DISPERBYK-101
discoloration.

Storage and Transportation

ANTI-TERRA-U
ANTI-TERRA-U 100 Separation or turbidity may occur during storage and transportation. Mix well before use.
ANTI-TERRA-U 80 Warm to 30-60°C and mix well.
