 Ailerons

Ailerons are a primary flight control surface which control movement about the

longitudinal axis of an aircraft. This movement is referred to as "roll". The

ailerons are attached to the trailing edge of the aircraft wings. The aircraft have

two ailerons, one on each wing. It allows the pilot to control the aircraft left and

right in its rolling motion.

When we move the control wheel to one side, the aileron to the side that we

turn will go up and the opposite aileron will go down, making the plane roll. The

upward deflection of the right aileron reduces the camber of the wing resulting

in decreased lift on the right wing. However, the downward deflection of the

aileron results in an increase in the curvature of the wing, causing it to increase

lift in the left wing. This difference in deflection of the ailerons, causes the

aircraft to roll to the right.

 Wings

Fixed-wing airplanes have two wings, one on each side of the fuselage. In most

aircraft, fuel is located in them. It is also where the ailerons, flaps, slats / slots,

spoilers and in some aircraft the engine, are fixed.

The wings have the purpose of producing the necessary lift for the flight. This lift

occurs due to the pressure difference in the intradors and extrados, as

explained by Bernoulli's Theorem. It consists of steel cables, uprights, ribs,

stringers and in some cases contains supports.
