D- Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning and execution of projects to ensure maximum productivity within optimum

quality and in a safe.
• Plan and organize, including generation of programs. Follow-up and optimum resource
utilization, Control and monitoring of departments man Hour expenditure including
indirect hours, overtimes and days off to workers.

• Plan daily and five weekly supervisory and manpower distribution.
• Coordinate and liaise with Project Managers, Project Superintendents and other trades,
ensuring smooth workflow on projects.
• Provide back up to the Sr. Foreman for managing and handling projects including
providing technical advice as required.
• Ensure that the safety management programs on departments safety objectives are strictly
followed and action is taken against defaulters to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure that all work is carried out to the required quality in the best possible manner and
within the guidelines of industry’s best engineering practices.
• Conduct frequent audits and document the outcomes to verify that enough efforts have
been put in the areas of productivity, safety and quality.
• Stop processes if they do not meet specified requirements, raise occurrence report,
develop corrective and preventive action and ensure that rework is carried out to
customer satisfaction.
• Motivate, direct, align and guide the team for best performance, monitor performance and
provide continuous appraisal & feedback. Empower sub-ordinates and provide apt tools
and technique including process improvement suggestions and follow up on
implementation.
• Identify training requirements for subordinates and provide suitable training and guidance.
• Take ownership of success or failure of the individual projects and resort to corrective

• Planning and preparation, understand the ISOMETRIC drawing P&I D.
Take off of materials &expediting. Assist in fabrication lay-outing, erection, installation
of pipes and pipe supports. And to be done before target of schedule.
• Review Structural Fabrication and Erection Drawings.
• Co-Ordinate with the QC Department whenever inspection is required.
• Co-Ordinate with the Civil work Department in regards to the readiness of
• Columns of foundation and leveling Pads before erection.
• Inspection of all Materials as per the Standard before start of work.
• Monitor and supervise field instruction works.
Ensure the availability of materials, tools and equipment to achieve the work planned.
• Responsible for fabrication at the site and erection of fabricated Material.
• Taking Progress and distribution of work to subordinates.
Assist and monitor in erection/installation of tank ribs, floor plates, kicker plates, wall
plates, roof plates, cover plates, and monorail beams.
Every morning before start the job I conduct safety toolbox meeting to remind them
about
• Preparation of cutting plan and fabrication drawings.
• Ensure optimum utilization of raw materials and other resources with minimum wastage.
• Supervision in fabrication shop.
• Scheduling & monitoring and work to achieve the target within specified time and quality.
• Preparation of Isometric Drawings as per "Piping layout”.
• Checking of Isometrics drawings, piping layout and bill of materials and preparation of
field design. Change notes for any required modification.
• Maintaining daily, weekly and monthly progress report.
• Planning, scheduling and execution at various levels.
• Preparation of punch list for different jobs and attend the same.
• Supervision of erection work.
• Supervision of fit up on site.
