INTRODUCTION:
Family is the basic church in the community; therefore the strong
bond of the family is very essential most especially in this hard time that
we are fighting for the pandemic. As the prominent saying goes “The
family that prays together, stays together” which must be practice in every
home so that the children will be trained to build a strong faith and bring
them closer to God.
Today, the computer generation as they say, most children are

preoccupied in gadgets, laptops and any kind of computer devices, busy
surfing the internet, playing computer games and viewing the YouTube,
the Netflix and many other activity in relation to computer. It is very
difficult to catch their attention, when you call them during mealtime they
will not respond because they are focused on the computer or cellphones.
It is a challenging concept to gather the children to participate in prayer
specifically praying the Holy Rosary inside their houses. The parents must
have a strong will and a good convincing power to command to their
children. They must set a house rules for the children to obey, it is good if
the parents will give a reward, an appreciation as a motivation to increase
the children’s eagerness to comply such activity like praying the rosary.
Children who develop a strong relationship to God, have a strong

faith to God will also build or create a family that will do the same in the
future.

PROFILE OF THE RESPONDENT:
My papa, he is a very hardworking person and provides for our family, he always
put his family first and he loves us dearly. he would totally lose his mind if he loose
one of us. My mama, I don’t know how to describe her because no words can define
how amazing and powerful, she is. She loves us so much; she would give the world
for us. My ate, I adore her so much I am inspired by how she became; she is very
passionate when she loves something she will not stop until she get want she wants.
My twin sister, my best friend. People see her as a very snobbish person but if you
get to know her, she is definitely the opposite she is just like that but that’s how
shows that she is strong but the truth is she have a very a soft heart and a loving
sister. During the pandemic our family become closer than ever, we got to bond with
each other, keeping up with the life of every member, always updating on how the
day went, eating meals together, spending time to pray the rosary everyday and
getting to know each other interest. This pandemic might have its down sides but it
brought a lot of family closer and stronger together, I hope that even after this crisis
our family will stay glued and will remain strong as the year’s past. Even though
this pandemic has stole many life’s in return it put a lot of families together making
every member of the family realize the importance of spending time with each other.

Reflection:
This pandemic has put us all in trials, it shapes us and molded us to be stronger
and to spread love and spend time with our love ones. I never thought that we will stay
this long fighting against the COVID-19, this has opened my eyes in reality that medical
literacy is big problem in the Philippine. Our country is incompetent in many areas
specially in the field of health and for a fact that the government put health in there
least priority, now look how the Philippines cope up with it, it’s really imperceptive
compare to others. But despite of this I come to see the beauty in it, I learned the value
of family that they are the only people that will love unconditionally, fight for you and
it is a gift from God. How it is important to always seek for God and always see the

good side in everything and always learn to never give up, continue the battle that God
has given to us because we are his warrior and he will never be abandoned us.
The activities that have been completed is a gate way for us to strengthen our
faith and devotion, it is our way of light to a long journey. And it Showered us a lot of
grace, it helps us learn how to draw closer to the Sacraments. The activities we deed is
not just an ordinary activity for all of us, these activity influence us to be more
optimistic and it builds our relationship with each other stronger each day, it maintains
our connection to God and reminds us of his promises that he will not leave us alone
and he will fight for all of us we just need to strengthen and hold tight on our faith.
Each day for the month of October feels good because I depend and trust his word it
protected me from anything that can harm me and my family, it opens our
understanding to God’s wisdom. It brought peace to my whole family when we start to
do these activities and I am grateful to our subject because it really showed and
enlightened us the ways on how can we trust God in many ways even in a very
challenging time.
Narrative:
This activity started first week of October, to begin the activity I started to
explained first the activity that we will going to do, explained how important their role
for this activity. When we pray the rosary, we always make sure that all of us lead and
participate and when we read and share the word of God we always reflect and share
our own thoughts regarding on the words we read. Though we are not complete every
time we do the activities because my mama and papa are a very busy person since they
are part of frontliner team but still it has not been a hindrance for them to be a part of
our activity and to join us in keeping our faith and love for God. I was not able to take a
picture some times because I sometimes forget that we need to document it and since I

was used to do rosary since the beginning of lockdown and there is no need to take
picture of it but I will make sure for the next month to document it always and never
forget it. For the participation we always make sure that we all get the chance to lead
the rosary and when it’s time for bible sharing, we make sure that everyone listens and
share what is their thoughts about the passage that has been read by the leader.

Reflection:
We’ve been quarantined for about a month in spite of this nothing has change
instead the number of affected people still outgrow every day, I effectuate that the
people don’t care for others, they forgot to love their neighbors and every time I attend
mass there is this one priest who leaved me a mark that reminded me of something that
love should be JOY which he said that J stands for Jesus O for other and Y is for yourself
however some of us always fails to think of this passage, I pray that someday humanity
would find its own way. This month has put as all in trials since we experience
casualties that causes death for others nevertheless, I still praise and glorify you
Almighty God for you never abandon us you show mercy and love for all of us your
ones again proven yourself to me. I learned to treasure every moment with my family
and to always seek for his help and he will never forsake us, and that life is so short to
spread hatred towards other. As I was reading the bible these words keep on popping
and then I question myself what god want me to hear and understand is that “The lord
said I will let the nation see my glory and show them how I use my power to carry out
my just decision”
Jesus asks us to have courage and challenges us to give God our utmost faith,
without uncertainty and confusion, trusting God entirely. Strength, light, hope,
wisdom, and the like come with our belief in God. We see the truth with faith, and we
can follow the word of God, who is the Lord, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Let us reflect
on Jesus as we walk in the waters of life, for he invites us to follow him and not to be
afraid, for he has assured us of our salvation, for he is our Father and our salvation.

Narrative:
It begins at the month of November, since all of my family are aware of what we
are going to do because we’ve been doing this last October. Same as what we did in the
month of October we just added somethings that can really help us to be more closer to
God and to keep the faith stronger, first is that we always listen to worship song
through this activity it help us prosper as one family and help us invigorate trust, for
bible sharing we just read randomly then whatever the passage we reads we share the
message it wanted us to learn and reflect on it-this activity enlighten us to love the man
who died on the cross for our sins and the man who give up his only son to save us. and
lastly, we always pray not just rosary but when we wake up in the morning, when we
eat, the rosary at every seven o’clock and pray before we sleep- this helps us to spend
more time with God and it safe our spiritual sanity and to really understand the heart of
God. All of these activities help us work out our relationship with God and it
strengthen our relationship with one another.

Reflection:
The lessons I have learned during this pandemic is that unity can conquer
anything. Amidst all the problems that this COVID-19 has brought upon each and
every one, when people unite, they can outlive the hardships that they face. Especially
in the family, when some cannot go to work and find money for financial needs, those
that have work help for all the members to survive. Those that cannot go out from their
houses especially the children and old people, learn to hold themselves and make
themselves busy with household chores. Those chores in the house that have been
neglected have been given time to be done. Love and concern among and within the
family flickered more during this pandemic. I see my aunts; cousins and my parents go
hand in hand to battle the problems that arises in the house where we live. We support
each other even more. And I’ve seen that people obey the laws so that the spread of the
virus will be stopped.
During this time, I struggled battling my desire to go out and be with my friends.
Even with my studies, I struggle a lot because face to face education is better than this
kind of learning that we are now doing. There are times that I cannot understand what
my teachers say and I am shy to ask for clarifications. I struggle when boredom strikes
me but it’s good that my cousins are there to cheer me up. It’s good that I have a strong
family support where one can depend on anything and everything.
During this pandemic, I’ve been praying that we may surpass these trials that
come our way. And that through prayer I am at ease. All the pains, all the hardships of
this pandemic are easily given a solution. And it eases my mind that all can solved. It is
my refuge during this time of crisis.

Narrative:
Since the beginning of this activity until this last month I can still believe how
this really help me and my family work our relationship with each other and how it can
strengthen our faith to God, it has been a fun sharing this journey, documenting
changes and capturing moment to spent time with God and Family. Like we always do
in the first two months we would always pray the rosary at night exactly nine o’clock
since that is the only time where my mama, papa, and ate got home from work and we
always let others try to lead the prayer since we are all involved here. Listening to
worship song help us to communicate to God just by listening to music, every time we
feel like listening, we would always play it and it aids my mood. It has been our
tradition as a family that we will consistently pray and not for a moment it will be
obliterated. We pray just before we get out of our bed, before we eat and before we go
to sleep, these actions make us more faithful to God.

Every individual has a mission in this world, being a child of God

I can be a light for my family just like Jesus the light of the world
by being a good daughter to my parents, being obedient to their
commands and wishes to finish my studies so that I will have a
bright future which all parents wants for their children, other trait
that I possess to be like Jesus as the light to my family is being
helpful in the house hold chores and I always ask for the
guidance of my parents in my decisions and finally the blessings
of God.

Reflection:
January has been a blessing month for me and my family since our family is temporary
growing since we temporary adopted our small burrito and we named her Kaiya Joy
which means forgiveness and our family’s happiness. She made our family more intact
together and closer, all the feelings of having a God’s blessing have made us feel that
way since this month. But like what they’ve always say that after a rain there is a
rainbow and it means we’ve reach the end of time to spend with our small burrito and
we need to say goodbye and return her to her real parents since we were just given an
ample time to enjoy her company and since then I have learned through her what is
family really is, what is ohana really is and thus family/ohana is the reason why I am
here today still fighting and keeping up with the everyday struggle of life, without
them life would not be that easy. Every human is gifted with a family for they are
blessings from god that would be our aid and anchor in life to guide us and serves as a
motivation to keep us moving forward, it’s not easy living in a lonely world for no one
is there to support you. I can truly attest to a saying that "No man is an island", an old
saying that man cannot stand alone, we need someone, we need other people in our life.
we all have a family that lives together and share all things, we cannot hide secret from
them because surely, they will know it or they will discover it soon, we have this strong
relationship that only a family can have, it is unbreakable and no one could easily
destroy it, we have this connection that each family member only could now and
understand, we are all interconnected. We are not just biologically bond but also
morally bond, I learn all things first from my family, they are my first mentor and will
always be my teacher while growing up, they let me experience things that will teach
me life lessons. All the things, all the choices that I will do surely, they are the first
person who will be affected. Sometimes all of us wanted a private life or an alone life
that distance us and create a space from our family and we tend to forget the essence of
having a family, is for you not to be alone and go through life with someone to lean on
for it is not easy fighting many battles that no one would help you. We benefit from our
family, no one is truly self-sufficient, everyone must rely on the company and comfort
of others, they contribute to the survival of human. She thought us to be more helpful to
those people that need help and that even if the blood that runs thru her vein is not the
same with us, we still need to help and love other and accept others because you do it
for the good of others not just for yourself

Narrative:
This is our last month to document the changes happened in our lives during this
pandemic and what was the biggest lesson we’ve learned the moment we start to do
this activity. This activity let me realize that I’m beyond blessed and that my God will
never let me go to a battle without a weapon, until now COVID-19 cases is still sadly
increasing but look at me and my family, feeling very blessed and love buy our God
because since the past few months that we have this case never in a moment that he
abandoned us, look at us we still have foods to sustain our needs and we’re still
complete and never been infected by the virus. he may not be seen physically but our
faith gives us every day hope that this will come to end and yes, he will fulfill that at the
right time just learn to wait patiently and always thank him and pray. at the same time
made me realize that life is too short to waist on useless and non-sense things. The
activities that me and family deed is to pray the rosary since day one we’ve been doing
this because this help us to communicate to God and show our sincerity and faith
towards him, second is to listen to worship song since we are just five in the house and
there is no kids to brighten up or mood we use to listen to worship song to distract us
from the reality of the word and through this we can still express our feelings and
praise him and lastly attend masses, before the pandemic start my family would always
attend masses and we never misses a day because this is super important to celebrate
the day of God and so with our current situation and since then online masses has been
our way to do our traditions.
