COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This subject is designed to cover the basic concepts and modern techniques and methods for analysis and
design of different reinforced concrete members.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
 To familiarize the students with basic concepts and philosophy behind different design methods
and Codal requirements
 To enable students to design various reinforced concrete structural members

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS:
Reinforced concrete is the most frequently used construction material due to abundant availability of its
constituent materials in Pakistan. It is required to design different structural systems and structural
members keeping in view different socio-economic aspects and safety.
