Good morning Students! Are you ready to learn about what non-
communicable diseases? Do you know that Non-Communicable Diseases
(NCD) are caused by the conditions of which they are born, by the hazard
around them, and unhealthy lifestyle? Yes! you read it right, and persons
that have a Non-Communicable disease do not feel the effects until he/she
is getting old because of breakdown of the body tissues or degenerative
diseases. Some example of Non-Communicable Diseases are Allergy,
Asthma, Cardiovascular disease, Cancer, Diabetes, Arthritis etc.
Are you ready to learn how to protect yourself against diseases? Let’s
get started.

At the end of the learning activities, the learners should be able to:
1. Explain non-communicable disease based on cause and effect, sign and
symptoms, risk factors and protective factors and possible complications;

1.2 compare the different sign and symptoms of different non-
