1. Explain at least three (3) provisions of the Australian WHS Act.

3. Providing procedures for the resolution of health and safety issues at workplaces.

3. Explain at least three (3) provisions of Australian WHS codes of practice.


1. Identify hazards—find out what could cause harm.
2. Assess risks, if necessary—understand the nature of the harm that could be caused by
the hazard, how serious the harm could be and the likelihood of it happening. This step
may not be necessary if you are dealing with a known risk with known controls.
3. Control risks – implement the most effective control measure that is reasonably
practicable in the circumstances and ensure it remains effective over time.

1. Providing/maintaining a work environment free from risks to health and safety: this it’s overall
one of the most important policies we can establish as it helps us to create a safety place
where employees can work without the continues risk of injuries or accidents so it’s important
to maintain and keep going further in continuous improvement.
