Highlights of the event:

Auto Expo 2020 concluded in the month of February and had an amazing
time participating! This was the first time that auto expo exhibited at this premier event for
the auto parts and ancillaries industries in India.

Here are the top highlights from Auto Expo - 2020:

1. Everyone's Going ELECTRIC!

Auto Expo as been always saying it, “The future is electric”. It was nice to
see auto-makers finally put that to action at the Expo as every major automaker launched
their electric vehicles at the Auto Show. From electric scooters to SUVs and even trucks, the
automotive industry put out all the stops to showcase their connected and electric line-ups
for the year.

The mood at Auto Expo Components was no different. Auto expo producers met
with key decision-makers from both new-age startups as well as automotive giants, all of
whom were serious and ready to invest in the Indian EV story.

Car launches are one of the biggest highlights of Auto Expo that fits every price
range, whether it's luxurious or more affordable cars. In the SUV sphere, you can look
forward to seeing KIA Sorento SUV and Tata H5 SUV. Electric cars are big this year with
almost all brands exhibiting their latest.

2. Made in India, Trusted Globally

Carmakers have realised the long-term benefits of investing in a local

ecosystem for developing and manufacturing electric vehicles in the country. The urgent
need for localization has come in the backdrop of Chinese manufacturers dumping low-
quality battery packs into India. With the Govt. increasing the custom duty on imports of
EVs (in completely knockdown or semi-knock down condition) in the recent Budget, this
has become even more critical.

Naturally, auto expo were proud to demonstrate our next-generation smart battery
management systems for the Indian market. Manufactured in India, our systems are already
deployed in 12+ countries in electric scooters, bicycles, ATVs, cars, buses, forklifts and even
excavators.

3. Smart & Connected

Automakers today are not just building a vehicle but a shared mobility ecosystem.
Electric vehicles largely comprise of electrical and electro-mechanical components, so it’s
only natural that companies want to build the vehicle to be smarter and connected.

Conversations at the show have evolved from the PCM based model of early days
towards smart battery management systems that are capable of supporting CAN
communication protocols and data logging.

4. They Ran Out of Business Cards & Brochures!

Initially, they were skeptical of the response because of Cornavirus & Delhi
Elections. However, there fears were unfounded! It was a big relief to see top-executives
from home-grown players take out time to witness the expo and get a hands-on
demonstration of the platform. All in all, it was a massive success, so much so that they ran
out of their business cards and brochures!

5. Set Up of Swanky Booth!

They set up an interactive game where visitors could drive a virtual e-rickshaw that
was being managed by their smart BMS and see live data visualized on Edison Analytics.
This simulation grabbed the maximum number of eyeballs at the show, so much more than
what they had anticipated! In addition, they had on display their complete array of smart
battery management systems.

In a nutshell, the Auto Expo Components was an amazing opportunity and

a platform for each and every automobile company to showcase their
creative management platform, connect with automakers as well as get
insights into the latest trends in the automotive industry.
