When people do not take care of the earth, it is called POLLUTING

RESOURCES are things found on Earth and in nature like water,

trees, and air.

The smoke from cars and trucks is called EXHAUST.

OIL SPILLS - Plankton, larval fish, bottom-dwelling organisms,

seaweed, clams, and even oysters and mussels, can be affected by
oil spills.

FACTORIES pollute the air through fossil fuel emissions, or gases.

These gases include CARBON DIOXIDE, METHANE, and NITROUS
OXIDE.
Even though all of these gases occur naturally, factories put too much
too fast into the environment.

LAND POLLUTION can be one of the most visible types of pollution.

You see trash outside of buildings or on the side of the road. You may
see a large landfill or dump.
This type of land pollution can not only hurt animals and their habitats;
it can destroy the beauty of nature because it is so ugly.
