WEBSITE ANALYSIS

Overall, https://salts.land/ is a well-balanced website with excellent online graphic

design (Salts. land, 2021). While this website has many excellent features, some actions

might be performed to elevate it to the next level in the web design market. Unless you are a

specialist in web design, the poor characteristics of this website are difficult to see. The

usability of the website, its content, and the website's action plan are all examined in this

study.

The general use of CSS and the site's cleanliness are significant advantages. At first

glance, it is clear that they have spent a significant amount of time building and redesigning

this website to get it as near to ideal as possible. On the home page, the usage of CSS is most

obvious because all of the headlines or important subjects stand out from the rest of the page.

Without the use of CSS, this is extremely impossible to accomplish. These headlines or major

subjects are larger, bolder, and generally a different color than the rest of the text on the page.

While the headlines or primary subjects are in different colors, the website’s overall color

scheme sets it distinctive from other land protection websites. With this website, the use of

CSS is excellent. On the protect page, the CSS makes effective use of tables, graphics, and

videos. The tables and graphic style on the pages serve to differentiate the many themes and

headlines. This design gives the page a more current appearance. This design, I believe, will

pique people’s interest in the website. Users will return if the design is nice, with good color

and space utilization (Sangeorzan et al., 2019).

The use of HTML and CSS in website coding is what keeps customers coming back.

The purpose of using HTML is to make the website basic and easy to read and navigate for

the end-user (Turkel & Crymble, 2012). I feel a website must utilize the same coding

approach across its entirety, regardless of the number of pages it contains. Using the same

coding technique throughout the website will result in a seamless and error-free experience.

As a result, when it comes to creating a website, there will be certain flaws that are produced

by human mistakes; Some of these faults may go unnoticed by the customer, while others

will have an impact on the customer. Within salts, the navigation style is employed. It is a

top-of-the-page style that helps readers to view all of the most essential items on the page in

one place that every reader will see directly as they open the page. The usage of top

navigation makes it easier for customers to find what they’re searching for quickly on the

website. At this point, I cannot think of anything that needs to be redesigned.

User satisfaction is the measure of the success of a website (F. M. EL-firjani et al.,

2017, Aziz & Kamaludin, 2018). The usability of this website was evaluated based on several

tasks; map searches, protect page and donation page details. The table below shows the

information that was obtained.

Task No. Task name Total task Total no. of Total mistakes time

time mistakes

1. Map searches 10 3 4.6

2. Protect page details 6.45 1 0

3. Donate page details 5.5 2 1.5

The task of map search was found to have several mistakes. When the data for total

time and mistake time are compared, it is clear that map search is the most difficult, with the

highest number of errors and the most time required. According to the statistics, map searches

are inconvenient and uncomfortable for users, and they are inefficient and ineffective. The

second responsibility, which is to safeguard details, is the simplest and takes the least amount

of time.

One of the things I like about the website is that they have videos that do not

immediately start playing when the page is viewed. For example, I dislike websites that start

playing videos as soon as the page is loaded. SALTS has put up the videos on the website so

that you may select which ones to watch and when to see them. I would prefer all websites to

adopt this style since automatic video playback irritates me and causes me to avoid those

websites in the future. The plugins they provide to play the videos may also be of greater

quality, allowing them to load the complete movie before starting to play it, allowing the

movie to start and stop while buffering. I believe that if the website were to be redesigned

with the recommended modifications, people would find it much easier to use.
