Fairness/Justice This value can help us in battling fake news

through eradicating biases and prejudices so
that whatever news that we deliver will not be
in favor of the other party. If we will work
based on righteousness, there is a high chance
of knowing whether a certain idea can mislead
us or not.
Integrity/Transparency In fighting fake news, integrity, otherwise
known as transparency or honesty, plays a vital
role especially to us, as the citizens of the
nation. We have to know if the information that
we will be disseminating could immensely
affect the lives of other people. Furthermore,
integrity is also important because even if there
is nobody who looks at us, we still do the
correct actions.
Keen observance In our point of view as the readers, being keen
observers is so essential for us to evaluate
where we can locate credible sources that will
allow us to see what is real and what is not. We
should not pretend as blind, mute, or deaf
because it is always our right to speak up and to
know where and to whom we should put our
reliance.
Sense of responsibility If we have the value of being responsible, we
will be able to assess if the data that we are
obtaining can either benefit or harm us. It is
always our duty as well to consider some things
that can help us comprehend if what we are
reading, writing, or reporting are all accurate.
Trustworthiness Considering that this world is already
encompassing fake news, we need to learn how
to be trustworthy if we know that our source is
authentic. And as to the viewpoint of the
writers and reporters, we need to consider the
wellness of our readers so that we may learn
how to set aside our personal preferences and
judgments for us to deliver only the truth.
