1. What is Social Studies?
Answer:
Social Studies is the study of history, people or society. Its primary
concerns are the issues involving interdisciplinary subject that draws upon
history, geography, ecology, economics, law, philosophy, political science and
other socials science disciplines.

2. What is the essence of studying social studies?

Answer:
Based on my understanding the primary purpose of Social Studies is to
help young people make informed and reasoned decisions for the public goods
as citizen and part of the society of a culturally diverse, democratic society in an
interdependent world. This also serves as a guide for humane activities and
knowledge of what and how the society would react, develop, and progress from
past, present, and its projection of the future.

3. Give the challenges of the Philippine social studies.

 Some textbooks which are already circulation are both poorly written and
haphazardly edited.
 Problems in teaching social studies in the Philippines to their numerous
flaws re on board with our cookie policy, education.
 Skilled writer an identified total number of more than 400 historical errors.
 Corruption in the Philippines problems in teaching social studies in the
Philippines mere haphazard.
4. Suggest three interventions or programs that would address the challenges.
 First program, would be a program that would address the problem of
historical errors that is published and now being used by some students.
This program aims to correct the historical errors and properly write a
reference book to be used by the students.
 Second program, would be a program that will help reproduce the
remastered and corrected book. The department of education should have
partnered with some private publishing companies to speed up the
production. With faster production it would leave a lot of time on retrieving
the old books and releasing the new one.
 Third program, would be a program correcting the curriculum in the
Philippines on teaching Social Studies which know to fail and flop during
its run. As known globally Philippine curriculum for Social Studies where
hardly influenced by politics, thus making so many fake adjustments of our
nation’s history. This program aim to re-write the curriculum and would
connect with the corrected reference for Social Studies.
