Greetings from the Department of English, University of Madras.

The Department of English, in collaboration with the UGC-HRDC, University of Madras, is

conducting a Refresher Course from 16th September, 2016 through 6th October, 2016. The
theme of the course is “Literature, Arts, Media and Semiotics”. I am pleased to invite you
to deliver an interactive lecture in tune with the broad theme of the course. I have appended
a one page theme- note for your kind perusal. As discussed, the date/s of your lecture/s are
scheduled as below:

DATE/S AND SESSION/S: 23rd September 2016 between 2pm and 5pm

Kindly email me the following for our logistics:

(1) The exact title/s of your lecture/s and your resume/CV.

(2) Synoptic pointers of the content of your interactive lecture/s.
(3) Reading materials/Handouts to be circulated if any.
(4) Five multiple choice questions (MCQs) with keys based on your lecture/s which will be
used for grading the participants in their final test.

You are welcome to send the contents of your lecture/s as a soft copy or hard copy to the
