Assign and load a medication
The Assign and Load feature reserves a pocket in a drawer and loads a medication in the same
transaction. You may also assign a medication, save the assignment, then return to the device at
a later time to load the assigned medication.

From the Home screen, select Assign & Load.

Select the type of pocket into which the medication will be loaded. This example will use a
Matrix pocket. Select Empty to see all empty pockets of that type.

Select the location into which the medication will be loaded and select Accept.
In the search box, type the first three characters of the medication to load. Select the
medication then select Accept.
Enter the Max, Min, and Quantity to load. Select Standard Stock, if applicable, then select
Load.

Note: Selecting Save allows you to load at a later time. See the Load and Refill a Medication job aid
for details. You may set both the Max and Min to 0 in order to reserve the pocket and prevent it from
appearing on Stockout or Refill reports.

The drawer containing the selected storage space opens up. Place the medication in the
storage space.
The quantity you entered previously during the Assign workflow is automatically populated in
the Load Quantity field. You can adjust the quantity if necessary. Enter the earliest expiration
date, then select Accept and/or secure the storage space (see image on next page).

Note: You must complete the Month, Day, and Year fields in MM/DD/YYYY format. Use the Cancel Assign
& Load button to cancel the entire transaction. Use Cancel Load to cancel only the load portion of the
transaction.
