To fulfill this objective khadi &village industry provide the training for
the young generation for making the industrialist in our country. Also KVIC give
the training of papad & Masala making, agarbati, herbal products because this
small things have more demand in India &KVIC also give training of leather
product, cane &bamboo product as a show peace & for that they also give some
amount form their own & also form government

CHAPTER NO-1

Research Methodology

1.1 INTRODUCTION

The Khadi & Village industries commission (KVIC) is a statutory body


established by an act of parliament (No.10 of 2006), as amended by act No.12 of
1987 & act No.10 to 2006 in April 1957.In took over the work of former all India
Khadi & Village Industries board.
Mahatma Gandhi, the father of nation had initiated the Khadi & Village
industry for the self-reliance & growth in the rural area made it a part of the
constructive programmed during indiscipline movement. KVIC have played a
pioneering role in the generation of income & employment in the rural area of the
country. There industries have the unique capacity cost utilize local resources &
provide employment to disadvantaged groups of our society.
KVIC works under the administrative control of the ministry of industry,
Government of India under the department of Small Scale industries, Agro & Rural
industries. KVIC has a 10 member at commission at the policy making level the
commission consist of six zonal members & two official members (Chief executive
Officers and Financial Advisor). The chairmen, CEO & FA are full time members.
The head quarters of KVIC in Mumbai it has its state & regional offices in
all the states. It has training, production & sales centers throughout the country.
KVIC is having 30 state Khadi & Village industries over 3,500 institutions & over
29,000 societies. There are around 14,000 sales as in country in KVIC sector. It is
having 46% women participation in its activities, 30% beneficiaries belongs to
SC/ST. KVIC board assist over 5 lack artisans. It has reached 2.35 lacks villages.

KVIC has four department Khadi, Village industries Prime Minister’s


Rozgar Yogna & core industry. KVIC has become the largest basic consumer
goods manufacturing after 2003 by registering a turnover of Rs.10, 193 crore.

ORGANIZATION PROFILE

2.1GENERAL INFORMATION OF THE COMPANY

2.2Training Areas of KVIC

Following are the training areas of KVIC

1) Fiber Product Department-:


This department basically gives training for manufacturing various types of
fibers products. The fiber product range from making of a purse to making of
mat. These department courses durations are mostly range from 1 week to 2
weeks the minimum qualification are 8th class.
2) Leather Product Department-:
These departments provide training in regard with making of various products
from leather. Training courses for making of leather bags, garments are given.
These departments also take care that flexible training should be given so that
the trainees can change the way style changes
3) Processed Food & Vegetable Products Department-:
This department provides basic & advance training in food processing &
Vegetable products. The main sources of Raw Material are generally the
agricultural products. Training is given regarding how food can be reserved for
long time. Training is given to prepare.
4) Village Department-:
This department provides training regarding how to make oil from different
types of oils seeds or in other word how to extract the oil from all seed.
Training is given to extract oil from sunflower & other seed duration of courses
is 2 months.

FUNCTIONS OF KVIC

3.1 Departments of Organisation

There are 3 types of departments of KVIC organization

EXPLANITION

 ACCOUNT DEPARTMENT: - Accountant is the head of this department. It


maintenances the book of account &financial statement of business
preparation of wages bills, profit & loss, balance. To fight income tax return
& sales tax return maintenance of voucher checking of cash balance in the
hand & at bank from time to time.

 ADMINSTRATION DEPARTMENT :- Administration mean a business


organization to have an office an office is a place where all actives can be
carried out of the smooth functioning of the business an office is a place for
transacting business it is administrative centre .
3.2 FUNCTION OF KVIC

1) The KVIC is charged with the planning, promotions, organization &


implementation of programs for the development of Khadi and other village
industries in rural areas in co-ordination with other agencies engaged in rural
development whenever necessary.

2) The function also comprise building up of raw material and implement for
supply to producers, creation of common service facilities for processing of raw
material as semi finished goods and provisions of facilities for marketing of
KVIC products apart from organization of training of artisans engaged in their
industries and encouragement of co-operative efforts among them.

3) The KVIC is also charged with the responsibility of encouraging and promoting
research in production techniques and equipment employed in the Khadi and
Village industry sector and providing facilities for the study of the problems
relating to it, including the use of non-conductional energy & electric power
with a view to increase productivity, eliminating drudgery & otherwise
enhancing their competitive capacity and arranging for discrimination of salient
results attained from such research.

4) To promote the Sales and marketing of Khadi & products of village industries or
handicrafts, the KVIC may large linkage with established marketing agencies
whenever feasible & necessary.
5) Further the KVIC activities, the KVIC may take such steps as to ensure
genuineness of the products and to set of quality and ensure that the products of
Khadi & Village industries do conform to the standards.

6) The KVIC may also undertake directly or through other agencies concurring the
problem of Khadi and Village industries besides research & establishing pilot
project for the development of Khadi & Village industries.

7) The KVIC authorized to established and maintain separate organization for the
purpose of carrying out any or all the above matter besides carrying out any
other matter industrial to its activities.

3.3OBJECTIVES OF FIELD VISIT

1) To provide employment to the people, this is social objectives of KVIC.

2) The economic objectives of producing sailable articles.

3) To increase annual income of the KVIC centre.

4) To study what are the departments are working in the KVIC centre.

5) The create self reliance amongst the poor

& building up of a strong rural community spirit.

6) To study scope of KVIC


CHAPTER NO 04

OBSERVATIONS

 Co-operative faculty members:-The faculty members of the KVIC are


very co-operative. They try to give the best possible answer of the questions
that we have asked them. They never hesitate in any questions.

 Well maintained discipline:-KVIC seems to maintain the discipline


amongst its student’s organization and the whole organization is neat and
clean.

 Well maintained working environment:-The location of KVIC is


where the student gets training is very nice. The office has proper
ventilation and light facility so, there is an encouraging environment.

 Salary in Selected Categories of Courses:-Salary to its trainees in


selected categories of courses due to which it can help the people to carry on
their training paying the training free or other charges.

 Flexible Approach:-KVIC adopt flexible approach for giving training.


KVIC train its students in such a way that they can change with the way
world change & can change to adopt new technology & fashion.
SUGGESTIONS

1. To help the student for starting their own business

2. To give the effective training

3. The advertisement and promotion should take place at large


scale so there is awareness to maximum people of the
country.

4. It would be better if certain take place in same work shops


like village oil industries & fiber industries.

5. To use computers & New technology


CONCLUSIONS

1. KVIC give the training for making the industrialist & for reducing the
Unemployment & they have success full in achieving this objective

2. KVIC Nasik has an excellent team of trainees who are well qualified,
experienced due to which the quality & efficiency of training goes on
increasing.

3. KVIC change with the time & provide practical knowledge to the trainees with
the latest technology use in market. KVIC also trains its individual to change
the fashion with the time.

4. Management of KVIC is very experienced which handled all the training


process very effectively & make whole organization to run smoothly & all
programmers scheduling seem to be easily.
