DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

Preface

This book is a collection of poems with pleasing themes written with great
care and passion. Each poem reflects occasions from different walks of life.
Writing each poem was like a pleasing journey for me that showed diverse
phases of life. The book is an endeavor to knot all pearls on the thread of
words such as beauty, beliefs, commitment, dedication, desire, destiny,
ecstasy, faithfulness, happiness, hopefulness, imaginations, kindness,
passion, pureness, spirituality, and trustworthiness and many more. This is
my first an attempt to write duet poems with other poet friends. All the poets
have penned their thoughts in a beautiful manner beyond words to praise it.
Many evenings, I wandered across my thoughts to initiate something
interesting in poetry. I had a feeling in my heart that the poetic path will be
more exciting if travelled with a co-poet having new ideas and creativity.
Riding towards different themes, we have successfully completed fifty
poems. All the poems are unique in the sense that it had an emotional
connection with the real life experiences, thoughts, and inspirations, giving
rise to multiple interpretations. It was really great experience to pen poems
with the notable poets. Writing poems always rejuvenates me. While starting
with the duet poem, I didn’t laid too much of conditions to the co-authors
because it will limit their imaginations. But to bring uniformity I just focused on
themes surround towards the title of the anthology “mellifluous” and chose
title based on situations for specific poets after discussing with them
regarding the topics that will be comfortable for them. I gave the liberty of
choosing their own poetic style to my co-poets. I tried my best to be
accessible to my poet friends when they planned to discuss with me
regarding writing the poems together. I have given more emphasis on poems
conveying happiness rather than sorrow to any reader who reads this book. I
did not want poems to remind people of their pain and sufferings. The world
is already in full of pain and I feel they want some breaking hours to free
themselves from pain. So, the poems included in the book are related to
themes that would leave people with some cheerful and positive vibes. One
thing I will always cherish about writing this book is that all my co-poets are
really incredible persons as they have always considered me as a friend and
appreciated my efforts. I never imagined that I will receive so much love and
affection from my talented co-poets. The world of poetry is beautiful and
brighter with the lights of words because of such gifted poets. Writing poems
always rejuvenates me and my co-poets. I hope this book “Mellifluous” would
have similar effect on the readers.

Acknowledgement

The famous and beautiful Konark Sun Temple in Odisha, India was
constructed by a workforce of twelve hundred artisans. It is now among the
seven wonders in India. Every beautiful creation cannot be done alone. It is
done with the efforts of so many people. Such wonderful people were also
there in my journey during this book writing. It will my honour to show my
gratitude towards them.

First and foremost, I would like to thank God for giving me an amazing family,
friends and people around me that acknowledge me as a poet. I just pen my
thoughts on paper and an amateur. Thanks for giving me enough strength
and moral support to work with my limited talent.

I would like to express my gratitude all my co-poets who believed in my ability

and provided support, love, and affection to write duet poems along with me.
We will continue writing together in all future endeavors also.

I am thankful to all people who have read, wrote, offered comments, to

improve the contents of the book and helped me in the editing, in
proofreading the book.

I would like to thank my photographer friend, who has contributed the

photograph for book cover.

I would like to thank my publisher for enabling me to publish this book

through their publishing house.

Above all I want to thank my sweet mother, loving father, and the rest of my
family members, who supported and encouraged me in the journey of writing.

Last but not least, I am thankful to all my well-wishers and readers who have
been with me always in my good and bad times over the course of the years
and I beg forgiveness to all those wonderful souls whose names I may have
missed to mention.

A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT

5
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

N.M. Leepsa & Abheepsa Mishra

The child smiling sitting on the lap of mother

Listening bedtime stories one after another
Love you mama, please never leave me
Then sleeping under her arms carefree
Doesn’t it give a beautiful sight?

The cold winter moonlit night

Or the dawn of rising sun’s sight
The monsoons bringing raindrops
Or the clouds above the hilltops
Doesn’t it give a beautiful sight?

The blue waves of the vast seashore

The boat sailing away far more
The reflection of sun rays in evening
The sky and sea’s amazing meeting
Doesn’t it give a beautiful sight?

The lofty mountains touching the sky,

And little stream flowing by,
Birds flying high in the sky,
Doesn’t it give a beautiful sight?

Tall trees kissing the sky,

And golden sun rising behind,
Making the night shy,
Doesn’t it give a beautiful sight?

Tiny houses lying still,

Not a single soul uphill,
With the fragrance of lovely flowers,
Such are the glimpses of morning hours,
Doesn’t it give a beautiful sight?

A BLESSED FEELING

6
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

N. M. Leepsa &Samim Biswas

I could not have the right words to describe

The deep feeling inside gives a nostalgic vibe
The beautiful feelings for thee I hold.
Finding strange miracle feelings & faith I behold
The best thing I can do just to try
To pray and thank thee in pure heart before I die
To paint the feelings with heart's bubbling words

Thou are the best thing that I ever met,

Thou are the best love that I shall never forget
Thou are the best poetry ever composed,
Thou are the best joy I feel as eyes are closed
Thou are the best song that ever played,
Thou are the best creator for the world he made
Thou are the best picture ever painted.
Thou are the best shower never tainted

Never I thought me to be so lucky

When past made me to see life as mucky
To get thee as my long cherished lady
To get a shine on my face so shady,
"Love thee more than my life, more than my world."
Thou keeps every happiness unfurled
I cannot stop each day thinking of thee.
I pray for thou presence bending on my knee

Oh! MyLady, " What have thou done to me?"

Thou have robbed my soul and I become thee.

A BUNDLE OF JASMINE

7
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

N.M.Leepsa & Deeya Dey Bhattacharya

For my beautiful princess

I bought a bundle of jasmine
For her joy knows no bounds
As you are full of grace and elegance
Of these gentle flowers
I admire her kindness and reticence
Full of the milk of patience
Your fragrance bring her closer to you
Let her alight on your soul like a dew
Her scent bring me closer to her
It from the lands of Arabia comes
When my love is near to me
I forget the whole world beyond thee
Life seems as beautiful as you
You dwell in me and I in you
The creamy colours of your petals
And the perfect shape
Matches the milky complexion of her skin
At the cheeks and at the nape
Plucked each of u with care
And forming a wonderful bouquet there
To see the sparkle in her eyes
After holding you
You dwell in me and I in you.

A DUET SONG OF LOVE!

8
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

N.M. Leepsa & Srinivas Vasudev

If
“Life is not struggling to survive a storm
It is learning to dance in the rain”
Then let's
Sing the Hymns of Love
Sing the Love stained stories
let's feed on
on the melancholic night’s moans and screams
on dahlias, daisies and daffodils
Nourishing on Sylvan glades and Siberian dales
crawl into the past towards Pharos & Phoenix
explore the Silence of Mummies
lets breath fire into Life, Or
let's lie down like tramlines
or like couplets in a rhyme

If
“Life is not a rat race to run breathless till death
It is a cup of warm tea to enjoy it sip by sip”
Then let's
Not just unite for the languishing souls around
Rather weave tales of Love for our sensitive hearts
let's feed on
On the kisses of rain and touch of sunshine
On dreams, desires and destiny
Fall into the immortal feeling of joy & bliss
Explore the unexplored of “you” and “me”
Let’s embrace our imperfections like perfections, Or
Let’s live in the moments like “now is forever”
Or like its last day of your life “your favourite day”

A MIRROR

9
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

N. M. Leepsa & Shyamal Kumar Majumder

You're my mirror
On which I get my reflection
Either healthy or not
Either endowed or not
Either brimmed with freshet or not.

You're my friend
For which I'm related
Either with your happiness or sorrow
Either with your success or failure
Either with your passions or notions.

You're my anthology
In which I ink down
Either on your love or broadness
Either on your struggle or uphill task
Either on your persuasion or troth.

You're my imagination
In which I build a castle of love
Either lost in our silence or conversation
Either involved in our vacation or celebration
locked in our love or infatuation

You're my serendipity
In which I encounter my past, present & future
Either stealing beautiful moments or healing past
Either whispering the secret wish or speaking the silent pain
Either embracing untold desires or awakening the fires

You're my poetry
In which I caress the blissful thoughts
Either dancing or singing with you
Either standing or sitting near you
Either hugging & kissing you

A NEW DREAM

10
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

N. M. Leepsa & Nikky Jha

Had a new dream today,

With everyone going away.
But I couldn’t figure out, which way.
Was it actually them or was it me?
Was it her or was it us.
Can take it no more, so I flee.
But, it was only just a dream.
Then fleeing didn’t help,
So I decided to stand and see.
Seeing what it had come to, that I couldn’t even realize.
It was only just a dream.
Then and there I decided to build a new scene.
With more love than one can ever feel,
And it would do no more than to heal.
The dream that I had then,
Was the one that I wanted to seal?
All I had to do from the world was conceal.
Till the moment was right,
And I could reveal.
It was you, this dream.
That I was afraid would never come out of reel.
Then i tried to keep you from being only just a dream,
And all i needed was just a little zeal.
For me to feel, heal
And make it real

A WRITER AND A POETESS

11
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

N. M. Leepsa & Ashiya Ansari

Don't leave a writer and a poetess together, alone in the dark.

They have their individual flair which when meet, makes a spark.
Writer’s charm and poetess’ sweetness will make their mark
With courage, full of energy and humor together they will work

Don't leave them together, alone somewhere.

Their words might exchange their hearts, leaving both of them unaware.
Like enchanting magical words of love blowing in the air
Finding them together everywhere for time to spare

They might not feel their closeness when they would be together
But they would feel something missing from within at their leisure.
And keep emotions in writing to keep them as their secret treasure
In the castle they had built in their time of love, longing and pleasure

AH, NOW I AM A BARD

12
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

N. M. Leepsa & Ravi Ranganathan

Ah, now I am a Bard

Whole Universe is my verse
With colourful images
I paint the world
And winsome words on my poetic pages
With wings of fantasies soaring
Higher, higher and higher inside the skies
Heart warming
Night cooling
Stars seeking
Venus rejoicing;
In the hope of sky
I am going to fly....

Ah, now I am a Bard

Lyrics that I frame
From whispers of my past
From songs of my present
From flute of my future
Inks overflowing like the vast blue sea
For my madness for poetry, world mocked at me
Passion never-ending
Goals never bending
Eyes never sleeping
Wings never tiring;
In search of ecstasy
I am going to fly....

AH, NOW I AM A BIRD

13
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

N.M.Leepsa & Anindita Dash

Ah, Now I am a bird

I am free and whole sky is for me
With the colorful feathers I am bright
With the wings of dreams I fly high
Above above and above inside the clouds

Heart bawling
Night falling
Sky calling
Cupid’s squalling
I am going to fly ….

But, a fear still lies,

Somewhere there in my heart
What if...I fall down from the sky?
I won't be able to remain 'High'!

But each time I start my flight.

I make myself stronger to fight.
Fight with my Bad-Luck,
If it ever comes to me

Ah, Now I am a bird.

I have the freedom-I am free.
Ah, now I am a bird.

AS LOCK AND KEY

14
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

N.M. Leepsa & Agnivesh Mahapatra

Fate changes
It changes to give you back what you lost
And what you -as you- deserve the most
Like waves of sea returns to you after going back
And brings ashore the salt that your sweetness lack
Like the rainy season comes back to heal your summer burns
And past and future strangled by Time's churns
My fate has changed too
From the day I found you
And you have drenched me as leaves by dew
Is it the lines of luck in my palm changed?
And some cupid marks upon my heart banged!
Or the stars changed their position to shine on my face?
And we were both tied by that invisible lace!

The game of meeting and parting is so long

Yet the moments between are etched in memory strong
My heart sings several longing songs
Which strike your ears louder than beating of gongs
As the night begins I sleep to see you in dream
And you remain awake to pursue your dreams
While in day I see your radiance gleam
And your sleep is untouched by my screams
Now the evenings will tell tales of you and me
And mornings shall whisper in glee
It's destiny that decides together we will be
For worthless are we apart, as lock and key!

AS WORDS SPOKEN BY HER

15
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

N. M. Leepsa &Shalika Sharma

He came near me
Holding me tight
Not to let me go away

Praised my beauty
My tangled curly hairs
My lazy brown eyes

Whispered erotic
Kissed my moist eyes
That fears if he leaves

Wanderlust he became to my heart!!

And am mesmerized by his charm

As he lovingly hold my hands
And kissed my forehead

For showing me his care

I smiled naughtier
I blushed at his stare

I said, I adore and love you

My breath is for you
My soul is for you

Our soul met together and love spread like aroma!!

BEAUTIFUL CHAOS

N. M. Leepsa & Meenakshi M Singh

Amidst the whirlwind

Between the high and low tide
Escaping everyday chore
Creation galore

Art gets created,

Not in the isolation
Or On the top of Himalayas
Or a hut in no man’s land
Best stories are written
In between the mayhem

The stories that tickle

The tales that bring down tears
The stories that make you wonder
The tales that bring surprises
Weaved in the tangled web

The story that you deeply connected

It makes you cry and laugh
All it takes is your patience
Battling against yourself
The sweat & blood greeted by success

Inspired paeans
Digging from the stories
That life reflects everyday
Shaping & reshaping emotions
And echoes of inner voice

Every creation is amazing

That is nurtured with time
Not made in a hurry, but gets born
Let chaos of life takes time, conceive
Let the creation take birth
That stays in the hearts forever

BUCKET OF SMILE

N.M. Leepsa & Neha R. Krishna

Just imagine!
The world disappears to get into another new world
A fantasy land, an Universe with galaxy of stars
Shining like fireworks in the sky
To take you to a ride to those twinkling dark blue sky
A journey to dive into the clouds, like a city walk

Just imagine!
what if the moon gets up
holds the corner of the night's sky, with his fingers
shrugs away all the stars, with a quick jerk
and folds up his favorite black blanket, nicely
and places it in a suitcase

Just imagine!
That chocolates fall from tree like fruits
Yummy ice creams comes from the soil land
Sweet juices from all the lakes and rivers
And you become a lovable kid again
To play with Humpty Dumpty sitting on the wall

Just imagine!
that all the stars have fallen in your garden
all you need to do is just walk out from the room of fear and collect your
favorite stars
how adventurous episode would it be when he will color your smile
that very smile which will glitter on your face while picking up the stars in the
bucket.

CLASPING HEART

N.M. Leepsa &Shyamal Kumar Majumder

Any despair?
Or hope?
Don't bother.
Fate has brought us
To this situation.
Don't be afraid
Searching nectar
Where and when so easy.
Come friend
Catch tightly my hand..
Just we dive to the sea of love.
Just remind in mind
Except optimists
None have right to love

So my dear beloved
Believe in my love
Give me your heart
Believe in magic of life
It listens your prayers in silence
Believe in miracles
That brought us together
Believe in me
My eyes don't lie
Believe in yourself
You have a heart to be loved
Believe in your dreams
Searching someone like me

I hope to meet you again

As I part
I part as flames of fire
I part as drizzles of snow
I part as Oleander flowers
When they begin to show

I part with an intrepid heart

I part as cherries blossom
My heart I was never away
From you in winds and snow

I part as honey drips

From a yellow amber sun
I part from you as your face
Suddenly, in my memories peep.

I part as yesterday’s sleep

As moon during the eclipse
And wake up next new day
For my promises to keep

I part as season of spring

Like its goes to come back
Countless lively joys to bring
From blossoming flowers

I part as glittering waves of sea

That touches the white sand
To praise your glorious laurel
At the feet of everybody it see

My love for you won’t go in vain

I part from you my sweetest love
Just to meet you again! I swear
Just to meet you again and again in love!

FEMININE BLISS

N.M. Leepsa & Deeya Dey Bhattacharya

She walked towards me

Like a holy divine
Her face brightly shining
May be…
Like the droplets of water on Lotus
Like the dangling pearls from a jewelry box
Like the stars hanging in the sky
Like the city lights far from the top
The day I met her for first time

Adorned with white kurta

She was looking beautiful
With an emerald green and red Rajasthani dhuppata
Embroidered with stones dazzling with the sunshine
Some stones collected from the sea

Resting on her lap

For an hour and a half
I dreamed many dreams
Till she sprinkled some water
To play mischievous with me

She hails from far

Some distant land
Carries perfumes of Arabia with her
She chants mysterious chants to heal my gaping wound
She carries sunset in her eyes
After liquid nostalgia
Which turns ripe as a fig
As she turns to kiss me

HIS VISITS DURING WINTER

N.M. Leepsa & Sofie Deen

In the midst of the red and white decor

Clothing stitched of dark velour

A man is walking through the snow

If it is him, I do not know

Full of excitement I open the door

This is the moment I have been waiting for

This is his first visit with me in Christmas eve

So full of fun & energy in him I could perceive

In the season of merrymaking all around

To this time our love has been bound

Bells and whistles hanging in the Christmas tree

Reminds me of the many times that he

Has travelled far from distant places

Where people live with different faces

To enjoy those times together

In a warm house during awful cold weather

Celebrations with bottles of vodka and wine

For two days a year I am his and he is mine

With special message hidden inside the gift box

He proposed me with a ring & his romantic talk

HOLD MY HAND

N.M. Leepsa & Sofie Deen

My hand that once was soft and full of youth

Now tells a story of a curse, an ugly truth
Inside me someone weathering the storm
As the winds and waves follow no norm

An array of rejections took my honour and pride

Love was the master in the roller coaster ride
The veins show the hard work throughout the years
Accompanied by an ocean filled with loneliest tears

Struggling to find the place of my imperfection

Is it in my loving heart or in my dark complexion?
Is it my restless soul that always wants more?
Or is it the need for a cause to live for?

During my journey to the past this evening

Piled up your loving words I was dreaming
Dark memories of your betrayal and deceit
Felt the anger rush from my hands up to my feet

On the doors of night under the blanket of winter

One time your love appeared sweet next time bitter
My hate turned to love and my love turned to hate
For you, until I die, I have and I always will wait

Now, I plea, I desire, once again you hold my hand

Take me away from mofussil towns to open farmland
Along with the blisters and dark spots you see
My love, please hold my hand, one time, for me

I WANT TO SEE YOU SMILE

N.M. Leepsa & Ranjit Singh

I love your smile

It's cheerful style

It’s really very genuine

So pure and so divine

Whenever you smile

It’s like bliss for a while

It gives such a lovely feeling

As if my heart you are stealing

An unknown feeling that I cannot explain

Like you are there for me in my pleasure and pain

I just want to hold that moment forever that you never know
Bring you closer, kiss you, hug you & never let you go

My heart always wants to see your smile everyday

Both growing up old together in delightful way

Your smile seems like rain in the midst of desert

A relief to person bearing the pain of heavy the heart

Whenever you smile

While walking mile after mile

I just feel to keep observing you

I am born to a pleasing person with a heart new

I wish to create
Stories of our longing
Shaping the rawness
Burning our hearts

I wish to inhale
Every ounce of you
Swirling in the air
Singing my name

I wish to praise
Every speech of yours
That declares
Your love for me

I wish to cherish
Every moment with you
Counting happiness
Of staying together

I wish to treasure
Your enticing smile
That showers rain of love
In my deserted heart

If BOUQUET I GIVE

N. M. Leepsa & Sudam Chandra Panigrahi

Beads of terror
Surround as
On each step
He treads
Death hounds.

In terrain high
On freezing ice,
Searing sand
He fights
For the honour of tricolour
lay his lives
Depending peace of others.

On the decorated coffin

Of such a chivalrous soldier
Here I lay bowing
A bouquet of flower, love
And reverence.

For the brave souls

Buried in snow
Buried in sand
Patriotism they show
For their motherland

Our Indian Soldiers

Taking responsibility in shoulders
Real hero they are
Whom the entire country admires

Fearless for death

Fighting till last breath
If bouquet of reverence I give
It’s just small tribute, for them we live

IF I BRING MY OLD DAYS BACK

N. M. Leepsa & Sarala Balachandran

If I bring back my old days,

I will bring back my sweet memories
Of childhood full of fun
I will bring back my beautiful village full of
Palm trees & mango groves
Guava trees & bamboo bushes
I will bring my mud house
With tiles and carvings
I will bring back my muddy pond
With fish and weeds to keep me cool in
I will bring back my friends and neighbours
So sweet and innocent
With heart full of love for all
And I will cook on wood fire
Tasty-tasty food for all.

If I bring back my old days,

I will bring back my ‘Lady Bird’ bicycle
To ride far unaware of where I am going
I will bring back my younger siblings
To play game named ‘King, Queen, Thief, Police”
I will bring back my village small pond
Where holding the brass pot I swim like fish
I will bring back my creative hand and mind
That paints the entire house with mom’s lipstick
I will bring back my summer vacations
Where I spend my days with love of grandma & grandpa
With heart full of fun in every moment
I will play “Hide and Seek” that I miss
Chase many dragonfly and butterflies
And make sand house & paper boat for all

IF I COULD TELL HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU

N.M. Leepsa & Nalini Srivastava

If only I could tell you how much I love you!

But in what units do they measure Love?
Is it the number of tears shed in memory of a beloved?
Or it is the smiles I brought on the face of you my love ?
Is it the way I am ready to defend even if you are wrong?
Or the way I might be ready to join in the punishment with you?
Tell me how I can show how much I love you.
I love you much more than the deepest fathoms an ocean can claim,
And my love is as selfless and yet high and mighty like the pinnacle of the
Everest.
I love you as much I love my life and I fear the day I would die
And you are my breath and the heartbeat and all the attention I vie.

If only I could tell you how much I love you!

But in what units do they measure Love?
Is it the hours spent in waiting for the beloved who went away
Or it is the trust that I had on you when all said you are not worth
Is it the way I speak of you to praise you to every person I meet
Or the way I remember you at every place, person, thing and all
Tell me how I can show how much I love you.
I love you much more than the dry deserts loves the rain drops
And my love is every moment I take my breath in rhyme of heart beats
I love you as much I love my parents who have given me a new life
And you are my happiness and the soul and all that make me alive

IF I COULD TOUCH THE SKY

N. M. Leepsa &Swayamdeepta Swain

The grit to rise from grit in life, the strength to sail in ebb and tide.
The wish to fly the wish to strive, the urge to grow in every stride.
Oh pain, oh strain, oh endless bane...
I wish! I wish! To touch the sky.

A hope to go the miles ahead, beyond my strengths, the will i've made.
The distant aim, the distant dream, a prudent want, my only heed.
The goals afar, oh doors azar, my sole desire.
I wish! I wish! To touch the sky.

With the courage of Mahout to drive big elephant,

With the daring heart of kite to fly against wind
Like the willpower of tiny ant to carry sugar of size giant
Like the faith of mud for a beautiful lotus, it find
With that strength at every length, my friend till end
I wish! I wish! To touch the sky

Becoming the fire, burning my greedy desires

Becoming the water, moving with flow of life getting stronger
Becoming the sky, for my limitless fly to a goal very high
Becoming the wind, admiring new for changes I find
Burning the midnight oil, chasing the star, to go far
I wish! I wish! To touch the sky

If I FIND SOMEONE LIKE YOU

N. M. Leepsa & Mridula Menon

I still remember
Months and months together
I lay paralyzed and helpless
My body very slow in responding
To treatment , making one and all
Worried and anxious – the doctors
Making every possible efforts
To instill in me confidence and faith
Little did they know my mind so weak
Was the culprit, holding me back
Till one day , you came into life
Till then I always hankered
For someone like you to love
And care for me, to take me
Into your loving fold, instilling in me
A strength and confidence
For me to wait for the morrow in loving
Expectation and hope with which to muster
The courage for my heart to recover
And resurrect from the ailment
That was nibbling, slow and silent
My will to live—until you, my precious
With loving tenderness
Nursed me back to health and happiness.

IF I GET THREE WISHES

NM Leepsa & Aneeta Mishra

If I get three wishes,

I will become a famous poet,
My best creative works world would know it
From my pen, lines will overflow for every moment,
Emotions captured from friends and opponent
For those stories of hearts, love, & words unspoken
Feelings expressed in open or tears of hearts broken

If I get three wishes,

I will become a legendary painter
I will paint the world to make it better
My canvas will showcase colors of life
People struggling for peace to be away from strife
From violet to red whatever you like
Notes of joy to make all feel alive

If I get three wishes,

I will become a renowned scientist
Keeping a suffering free world is in my wish list
For every disease incurable
Will strike a plethora of solutions
From pills, tonics, and vaccines
Whatever needed to combat it.

IF I SEE THE WORLD IN YOUR EYES

N. M. Leepsa &Satya Pattnaik

If I look through your eyes the world I love

Silently taking away your loneliness
Wiping out your cherished tears
I will show the real beautiful world
That you have not seen yesterday
So that you awake with a smile

If I look through your eyes the world I love

Fearless from heartbreaks
Courageous of falling and crawling
To show how to live free breath
Removing the spectacles of illusion
That you have worn from past

If I look through your eyes the world I love

Gently would wrap the hearts, soft and tender
Gather the wounds and pains
Feel the pulse of dying cells
Restore the beauty of souls
With my gentle kisses, warmth and passion

IF I WERE YOU

N.M. Leepsa & Siddhartha Mohapatra

If I were you
I would do well, and be true
Retreat summer’s harsh strains
Calmly rush like the August rains
I would paint the seas blue
Bring warmth to the winter's pain
The blood that bleeds for a scar
I would be what you are
An ethereally beautiful star

If I were you
I would never be far
The stream that flows close by
The flowing water that cures despair
The fierce love of Sun, the gentle love of moon
The soothing love of the eve' zephy
My precious solitaire
I would be what you are
An ethereally beautiful star

If I were you
I would stay to myself and my heart
Unbiased by worldly words, to sway my feelings for you
Celebrating each and every moment- like you do
Treasuring smiles for me, and for you too
God’s gift - a silky soft touch, a beautiful handwriting
That makes you feel cheerful, happy and so exciting
I would be what you are
An ethereally beautiful star

If I were you
I would thank the beautiful world
For all the serendipitous moments I have had
A wonderful life to live that makes me glad
For giving me loved ones who find me special
To be loved for what I am, than being superficial
You are never an illusion or a mirage
I would be what you are
An ethereally beautiful star

IF LIFE GIVES ME A SECOND CHANCE

N. M. Leepsa & Sunanda Bhadra

If life gives me a second chance,

I would burn my entire grievance
With share and care
To kiths and kins, lover & beloved
Learning to smile & make others smile
And remaining my own self without any fear
And relish the present moments devoid of past & future
Every broken and lost relation to reconcile
Keeping away from ego, expectations and tears
And gifting to people I care, my loving heart hidden for years

If life gives me a second chance,

I would simply impromptu dance
With glee and flee
To known land and seas.
Far away from all precarious situations;
And untie the shackles of social regression.
And soar high up in the sky
Like a vivacious nightingale with joy;
Devoid of any mortal grievances.
And to the almighty, I would always owe my allegiances

The truth of passion colouring the sky above.

If only you could hear the echoes of my longing,

If only you could feel the warmth of my feelings,
I would offer you my heart,
Then you and I would never be apart.

If only you were ready to receive,

All the things that I have to give,
Your soul would never be alone again,
Away from loneliness and pain.

If only I had you today in my life,

I could live peacefully free from world’s strife,
I would have loved you forever and be loved in return
Kept you in my heart in love rather than just to yearn

If only you could understand I like you for what you are
If only you could know I miss you because you are far
I would then swear in name of God
That you and I together will make even life’s every odd

If only you were ready to say I am always yours

IF YOU DANCE WITH ME

N. M. Leepsa& Robert Greig

Out of a silence
where memories sleep
a lullaby dance is performed,

Out of a shadow
a somewhere regret
frayed by the years become torn;

If I’d just took a chance

and held out a hand
if the words in my head found a voice,

Replay, replay, pause,

what did I miss
my stumble a frame to your poise;

Yet, what I found by chance

my moon came in night
wearing beauty and romance

To unlock the door of luck

that has changed our life
rewinding the clock

We take the wings of swan

and swim in lake of love
to dance whole night with soul as one

A beautiful world I can see

born to reborn me
If you dance with me

Would be back again by sharp 12AM

I will make my journey alone.

Without taking with me anyone

Will enjoy every moment only for me.

Not for the known or unknown person next to me.

I will dance-I will sing - enjoy indeed!

I will shout-I will run-I will again be a kid.

If you give me a day

I will do work as well as play

I will sit near the sea beach to it's beautiful sight

I will stare at sky full of stars at night

I will be friend of any strangers I find

Will walk long distances in rain & wind

I will capture memories in my notebook through my poem

Share to beautiful world my dreams and my life’s aim

Finally I will sleep on my mother's lap

Listening to her lullaby to take final nap

Like life’s pleasure sees no measure
It will touch my heart and bring me smile
Your hug is love and miracle for a while
No tears to wear, no fake smile to mask
So, give me your warmth hug, my love, I ask
Hug me my love, now and forever
I need you my sweetheart to love you ever

Yes, my love I do agree

If we exchange our hugs daily
It will comfort us emotionally.
I'll always bore it in my heart as a security,
which will be my biggest asset in reality.
It will concrete the bond of our togetherness;
And will never make me lonely in my loneliness.

IF YOU REVEAL YOUR DREAMS

N. M. Leepsa & Udita Garg

When you reveal your dreams to people,

You reveal long lost scars
That itches the entirety of your heart
And breathe in you caterpillars
Waiting to become butterflies,
You lay bare the sands of time
That craves your footprints
At ceaseless horizons of sunsets
And the toil of nights,
Waning moons and spotless sunshine
Hoping, desiring a dream to take shape,

When you reveal it to them

You blow candles, ignite the suns
And indulge in the cosmic foreplay.

So if you reveal your dreams to people,

Talking a walk into your innocent heart
Pouring out the secrets of soul you have
Conveying your deepest desires
To a saint or sinner
Think of giving wings your dreams
Without fear of fall and with valour to rise
Without the worries of people
That acts like Queen Machbeth
Because your dreams are beautiful
Just like your beautiful heart

When you reveal it to them

You crown your heart, armour your mind
And become the star of love to rule like a queen.

To grasp your lively face my beloved

If you say I am yours

I will tear the old calendars reminds your absence
And open my heart to treasure memorable moments
I will believe on my desires, dreams and destiny
That brought cheerfulness, contentment and charisma

If you say I am yours

The day, my world weaved dreams of rose,
The day, my sea rise high with shinning tide,
The day, I saw you among the stars,
The day, I saw you in every corners,

If you say I am yours

The enchanting verses of love will breathe again

The mundane will grovel beneath your feet

Will dissipate, every hurdle that you ever meet

Making your mind free from all worries of life

From the ocean of illusion, sorrow and strife

Enveloped in melody, your life will be a song

Will liberate you, the silence that lingered on

Smile for yourself, life will be worthy to live

Believe you are happy, you will really be alive

No animosity will engulf your peace anymore

Will turn your foe into a loyal friend evermore

Knocking the door of destiny your good luck will enter

No matter if life is harsh as summer or frozen as winter

On the wings of truth, your dreams will sail

Will, fire in you, never succumb to any gale

If you were mine, my heart’s shrine

I would never stay alone
Wherever you may stay I will feel for me there is someone

For you keep on declaring surprises from cabinet of curiosities

If you were mine, my loving divine

No dreams for new heart to acquire

LETTER TO MY CHILD

N. M. Leepsa &Swapna Behera

I don't want you to run

In the rat race like we do
Enjoy the moon and sun
Forgetting they exist too

Morning that begins with WhatsApp

Day with the face of Facebook
Night ends with LinkedIn

Nature has its own melody

Bestows peace as remedy

My child, don't forget to live life

In search of life , in quest of aim of life
All competition is just part of life, not entire life

I have searched trees for shadow

As I walk in summer heat noon
I have cut million trees
But you save tree for you

Love is beautiful thing in world

Love everyone in every possible way
There are many who will search for you
With caring arms, smiling face

Life is so short to live

Live in every moment
Leave worries in basket of yesterday
Let each day pour happiness
Open windows of hope
Fearless of unseen future

There is one God in world

It's humanity that resides in you
There is one sin in world
To hurt the hearts of people
Love people to reach heart of God

Dear lovely soul

I hug you close to me
Listen to the heart
And never to the brain

Wipe the tears of others

With your little fingers
Fear not the obstacles
Coz these shall pass

Faith is never to pray

and speak a lot kneeling
But a root of works
For those who really need

Share your courage

Listen to the nature
War ,fire and storms
Shall never touch your soul

Bright sun shines in every ravine

A new dawn waiting in the horizon
A peaceful world where all will smile

Butterflies flutter. Sprinkles the colours

Swim deep down the sea
Fly high higher in the sky

The values of life, crowns on head

Compose your melody
Song of culture
The ballad of your past
The eternal path of love

You are the soul , the Divine

You are an Angel ,and the whole
You are the Holy , the Love and Truth
You are not mine but for all -

LIGHT AND SHADE

N. M. Leepsa &Shaurya Trehan

Life is like a two-faced sphere,

One gives cheers while other gives tears,
Painted with pain & pleasure makes us wonder why?
Why not fill it with joy, shut it for cry?

In the brightness of light, we jolly along

Taking shelter when things go wrong,
Holding basket of pride in hall of fame
Blaming other while failure in game

Extending hands in one’s success,

Testing times make us suppress
How weak man is, fear to admire battles with failure
Reaching sky, rave about success for longer tenure

The radiant sun makes an ever-lasting impression,

While a flick of darkness throws us into depression
Aim to be unique among thousands on street
Actions sound hollow and works remain incomplete

Guiding light a noble cause,

Giving shelter a divine applause
Aspiring to cross each and every blockade
Admiring to balance between light and shade

Such are the nuances of life,

Light and shade make us strife
Good and bad days are strings of light and shade
Turn bad days as experience like lemon to lemonade

I am looking for you
Like the peacock waits for the rain

She fills my void with her smile

Her heart loves my breath and being
I am missing you
Like the night waits for the full moon

I long for her presence all along my life

When will my wait be over?
I want to see you
Like I see myself in the mirror

I am immersed in an ocean of love.

LOVED AND LIVED

Splendor of vivid colors show,

Masterful picturesque rainbow,
Pacific, swift , invisible arrow
Swirling, fluttering under eye-brow ,
Ignites inhaling jovial show
To rapture the lovable glow .
In the clumsy poetic, charming window
Eagerly pervades the upcoming tomorrow
Planting the seed to casual grow
Only the beating speedy soul does know
How enchanting, exhilarating its magical flow
Assures to sooth from now, I know

Sleeping like princess in a Castle

Riding in desert on a Camel
Taking shower in a Waterfall
Walking the China’s Great Wall
Playing with the Dolphins in sea
Floating like log on the Dead Sea
Climbing a range of mountain
Watching dancing water in fountain
Swimming inside the blue ocean
Kissing under the romantic rain
Before I died, I did all things I loved
I was alive because I really lived

My face with various expressions

Added smile for better impressions

I fall over into his illusion

A play between real and delusion

Oh! What a mystic flowering compassion!

Could only I slide into realization?

I find myself at new horizon

With much love and affection

How could I be able to give more explanation?

What I get at his blissful unfathomable presentation?

Some reflections are confusing

Some reflections are amusing

MELLIFLUENT DAYS

N.M. Leepsa & Asim Mohanty

You should count your happiness than counting the sorrows, someone said
reminders of better days lay down before me
The healing heart, the swings, the rag doll and the beloved mango tree;
Everything that sets me free
many dreams laid their rest in that special shelter, heaves of fresh ambitions,
the cacophony of laudable desires.

The dulcet tones of good days approach slowly, embracing love and longings
the poise presence encouraging the blooming hopes
Time and again.

Going to the depth of every problems

Free from all attachment from people, place, life and death
Not just by walking & following like sheep
Rather than saying “I am in pain”
My body, my mind, memory, my thoughts, my experiences are not in pain
As I have come alone and will go back alone one day

The root of all pain is beliefs, questions, and illusions

And the source of all happiness is to surrender everything to God
As I held loosely all attachments, like the sand in hands
And as I forget myself I am happy free from sins and virtues

For me every day is mellifluent day

We have an unfinished business, joy and I
Escalating in against pain & stifling
Like the kite rises against the wind
I rise very high
With joy

N.M. Leepsa & Abheepsa Mishra

The moment I saw you,

I fell in love with you.
I still can’t forget,
Your innocent face and mischievous eyes
Oh ! Love of my life, my Juliet.

On dark nights,
When the moon shines bright,
I yearn for your Love.
To feel your mystic aura beside me,
And your lips murmuring words of Love.

The moment I think of you,

I sense fragrance of you,
Waiting for your blissful love,
And a glimpse of mesmerizing smile,
Oh! Love of my life, my sweet dove.

Far far far away

I close my eyes and I pray
Thinking when will it come that wonderful day
How much I love you, I will say
Oh! Love of my life, my cutie pie

As you walk in towards me

You walk into my heart to make me free
From all worries of the world
Endless happiness unfurled

When the sun sets and sky paints orange colour

I think of those wonder days of summer
When we had built a castle of love in our heart
Secretly playing crazy lover’s part
I wish for those moments again to be loved
Oh! Love of my life, my beautiful beloved

MEMORIES REVISITED

N.M. Leepsa & Debasish Pahi

Nothing could erase

Your memories from my mind
As my heart sings songs
At every sunrise & sunset
About you , your memories
Moon has not slept since long
As it recalls praises you said
The comparison of me with her you made
The sparrow ask about you too
The photography you do
Every street we walked together
While I walk alone still remember

The memories of our sweet past

The corner table of our favourite shop
Cherish our love over coffee cup
The steps we walk by holding hand
Be like a photo in the beach sand
When I touch my guitar strings
It's give me tune for the song you sing

It reminds me of our story,

Which is now history..
What would I not give,
To just hear you voice once more.
To feel the warmth of your body once more
To feel secure once more in your arms,
But, the reality is cruel.
And all I am left with is just memories.
Memories that nothing could erase
And as I cherish them I know
One thing for sure
These are the Memories,
Nothing will erase.

MONO-WORD LYRIC

N. M. Leepsa & Meghna Gupta Jogani

Your ardent love makes me utterly beautiful as white jasmine

And it sends me a compelling feeling to make you forever mine

You stand and rise towards me to see the shine in my smile

Love welcome me, I draw towards you fondly within a while

Your love took my silent soul to create a single love song

Of how much we belong to each other for span of short & long

In all sounds I love to hear just one name that's yours

As soft as a distant music flowing from corner of doors

The thrill of your touch is like the fingers on strings of guitar

To create short lilting songs to sing in tune for being together we are

When you call my name, it resonates to make the sweetest music,

And it lends melody to my day, making a mono-word lyric!

The words you exchange make a ballad of love; a rhyme,

In harmony to my every move I make: the bangles chime.

I recall the distant chords of our love-making, as I blush anew-

The duet of our moans made its crescendo, with a beats few.

Though our song was short, but the rhyme I carry on forever,
Our low-pitched chorus was ordinary, but it never felt truer!

I often sing it in solitary symphony to the ripples of the stream,

Of the times we will come together again I sit there and dream…

MONSOON TINKLES

N.M. Leepsa & Niti Chatterji

I woke up to the tinkles of raindrops on my window pane

The rendition of the droplets took me down the memory lane
Days of carefree childhood where rains meant a holiday from school
A harbinger to careless oblivious adolescence without any rule
Playing with paper boats in small water puddles was all we ask for
Hustle and bustle and jumping in pools of water was happiness galore
Drenched in water and soaked in delight, rain was a pure ecstasy
Sound of music, tinkling of drops, pouring of rain was life’s melody
Today as I wait for the rain to stop so I can go to work
I pick up the pieces of the past when life was berserk.

Silently wandering in my thoughts through those yesteryears

Lost in the imaginations of where raindrops very fresh it appears
That use to bring bubble of energy in me to walk under the rain
Being in peace, indifferent to the emotions of happiness or pain
Many journeys holding the umbrella and hands of friends
Near many houses, trees, shops and streets that never ends
Some rainy days that reminds of cup of coffee and roasted peanuts
Along with the stories chanted by grandma- a life with no ‘if’ and ‘buts’
Some monsoon rains that reflects the drizzles falling on my face
An evening in love, an affair to remember, a person of heart to embrace

MY PRAYER TO YOU

N. M. Leepsa & Ravi Ranganathan

You came like a dream into my world out of the hue

And left me even before I could pray for you
You lived like a Rose while I was in a trance
And were transplanted before I could glance
I asked for a chance, you looked at me askance

You will know me sure when others break your heart

You will feel me secure when years fall apart
You will then come as an answer to my prayer
You will feel me in you when others are nowhere
Come then to me as I still have love to spare

You will love me when I will love you all year round
You will miss me sure when emptiness will be around
You will then know how I asked for you to God in my prayer
You will then know how much I care about your comfort or despair
Wherever you want me for life to share, you will find me there

You come again like time has never erased your presence
Let my isolated amorous heart feel your love’s essence
Let both enjoy all lovely moments as new lovely pair
Let happiness remain in our heart and soulful love in air
Come to my life like blessings that follows after my prayer

O' MY SWEETEST DREAM

N. M. Leepsa & Deepak Kumar Dey

O' my sweetest dreams

Is it true what it seems?

Scenically serene and sublime

Like a joyful promise of time

As you have entered with a smiling sweet ‘Hello’,

I will treasure and won't let it go.

I am out of any riddles and fear

For you I have opened my door

I am overjoyed as you appear

Come closer and dwell forever.

With your illuminating heart

Make me yours by your loving art

Stay in front of my sight

Throughout whole night

You have kept love alive

And me till early morning five

A fascinating dreamful night

Under shining moon light

OH MY SWEETEST LOVE!

N. M. Leepsa &Sonali Nayak

Oh my sweetest love!
Let's walk miles,
To the sweet forbidden land.
There!
The gentle cool breeze blowing,
Let's weave fancy dreams,
Tenderly holding our hands.
Let me rest my arms on yours,
In the dim moon light,
Let's count the diamond stars,
Our lips will be tight shut,
Let's our eyes spark.
Oh my lovely darling!
Let's have the nectar,
And touch my soul,
Let's have the halsen,
Your hand is mine forever.

Oh my sweetest love!
Let’s hide somewhere
Near a faraway serene place
There!
Let’s recreate and relive past loving days
By walking down the memory lane in morning rays
Let’s watch birds together in early morning
Let's take a romantic walk along with the sunset
With no fixed destination my dear mate
Let’s burn by stroking the fire of romance
Creating a new world taking a chance
Let’s ride on the waterways together
Spending some time with each other
Let’s rekindle the spark of love inside
Cuddling and tickling by sitting beside
Let’s love come in
Into our life smilingly again

OH PHOTOGRAPHER

N. M. Leepsa & Chandra Prakash Sharma

Oh Photographer
Nature’s Admirer
You stand still & smile
You walk several miles
To capture memories
Or knit untold stories
You travel by boat
To click fascinating views
Of the glittering night
Of the river water
Of Hoogly Bridge
As you watch the sunset
Near the Howrah bridge
Sometimes you lean on the wall
And also enjoy the water
To cherish forever
What not you have with you
The sunrise and the sunset
The lazy birds near Victoria Palace
And the soft wings of swans
Of the Ganges in Kalighat

Oh photographer,
your lens captures
the frolic and flaunt
of the Hoogly with which
it embraces the ocean and
merges into the Bay of Bengal.
I come from the land of golden sand
where travellers ride the camel
dancing on its fiery path
too eager to take its
thirsty master to
water turned
Mirage

ONLY IF

N. M. Leepsa & Sabat Digal

Only if,
I could have met you before
I could tell you what I feel when I am with you
I could tell you what I feel when I am without you
I could say how I taste and feel your smile and presence
You could have not pretended not to understand what I say and mean
You could have reciprocated same feeling for me that I had for you
You could have stepped out with me in rain
You could have promised to be with me forever
You were there with me in every sunrise and sunset
You were there to touch my hair to cheer me up
You were there to run your fingers on my face when my eyes close
The world would have been different place to live for

Only if,
I could have asked for replies for my letters
I could tell you how special you are for my heart
I could tell you how special I feel when you are around
I could say how happy were the days when I was with you
You could have stayed with me than holding hand of another
You could have known my smile with you and my tears in hidden room
You could have known I remembered you in my pain & my pleasure
You could have known many times I felt to say you “ I miss you”
You were there to hold my hand when I walked alone in moonlit night
You were there in front of me, smiling & observing my stupid talks
You were there to hug me tight and caress me when I feel love for you
Life would have become a beautiful day, everyday

SHE HOLDS ALL LOVE IN KINETIC ACCORD

N.M. Leepsa & Shailendra Kumar

In the heart of the world

I see a celebrating crowd
I see loving eyes
I encounter whispering ears

Because I know
The world is beautiful
People are amazing
With loving eyes and caring hearts
Listening to my heart

They know how exactly I feel

When say them about you
Your eyes that speaks loving words
Sometimes unspoken hidden words too

The moments we celebrate together

Cherishing in our hearts always
Like we disappeared from the crowd
To live in those moments

Ah! I feel a deep love

In the core of my heart
You shine into my eyes
You come and go but stays in my brain

You are a peace itself

Who is different from the crowd
Yours eyes are my lucky diamonds
All you speak is very mellifluous
As you hold all love in kinetic accord

TAKE MY WINGS

N.M.Leepsa & Gopakumar Radhakrishnan

If you say you are broken and crawling,

How can you fly?
Take my wings, today or now itself
Fly high again in the heights
Fly fly and fly...reach the light
A new morning is waiting for a new beginning
Keep adding feathers to your wings -
The feathers of smile and faith
Become stiffer and happier than the past
Go, fly away to live your dreams

Faith is what makes us rooted or fly

Earth or heavens only a space to try
Thoughts are the best thing I can gift
Trust it, glide, glide and glide with your might
Time is again a number like age
Add more faith and be like a sage
Every dawn pens many epics and tales,
Twilight glitters the waters and dales
Be in the mood and duet with the light
Go, make every cloud a prism and split

THE MEANING OF LIFE

N. M. Leepsa & Arti Gupta

Does anyone understand, what is life?

Is it peace, is it strife?
Where it goes, where it lies?
Is itshock, is it surprise?
Why not things happen twice?
The world to suffice
Then we can better understand, and can summarize!!
From whatever situations experiences arise
But it’s a full-time exercise!
Sometimes we hardly realize
So, without missing any moment, we have to utilize!!
Can’t blame others and criticize!
Becoming fool by closing the eyes
Take responsibility for our action and be precise!
Sometimes becoming deaf (to bad things) may be wise
Then only a bit we can be awake and rise
Everything will be blessing in disguise
Perhaps this is life!!Perhaps this is life!!

THE RHYTHM OF HOPE

N. M. Leepsa & Sunil Nanda

A horse suddenly running towards the dark;

But the dark is not much awful,
It has its beauty as same as light
Which gives you the strength for life’s fight.
Listen the harmony my friend,
It's the rhythm of hope,
Open your mind, open your heart,
Oh! Survivals let's make a fresh start.

Papilons over the gentle breeze,

Searching in the pompas,
Time to remember about the prestige,
Throw away that fatal compass.
Resuscitate old vigorous stride,
To find a meilleur novo ride,
Migrate from here to there,
Because the return of parallel pride.

Standing at the crossroads

To choose between the divided path
One way pompous wealth & luxury
And other road takes struggling sight
Are you searching for happiness and peace?
Every glory is hidden on this earth
Under ashes of death or fire of life

The longest night will pass away

Every trouble will come to an end
We have to remain awake from deep sleep
Wear your faith and let it not rust away
Believe in me my friend
Ignite spark in your ignorant heart
It's the rhythm of hope,
Open your mind, open your heart,
Oh! Survivals let's make a fresh start.

Walking on a carpet
Of dry autumn leaves
Auburn, mustard, crisp
That creaky sound when I tap my feet
And dance on that piano of leaves
The music produced being together
The symphony of autumn
A moment with nature
So beautiful to behold
Every soothing song
It creates with its fall

Walking on a carpet
Of dry autumn leaves
Spread on the road
As if the earth has adorned
A golden gown designed by nature
Embroidered with red and brown colour
That makes her colourful and lively
Turning these leaves that look like flowers
So beautiful to watch over
As they tap my heart
Again and again as they fall

N. M. Leepsa & Meenakshi M Singh

Those moments, I long

When you peel the mask off
Show me, the real you
Living, breathing,
And full of heart
I fall in love with you

Those moments, I seek

When you get so enraged with me
That you shake and shiver
Your eyes reddened by the fire
And full of heart
I fall in love with you

Those moments, I desire

When you demand my presence
In your life, in your home, in your city
Admiring, craving, possessing
And full of heart
I fall in love with you

Those moments, I miss

When you show me, the lover in you
Listening my unspoken words
Sending flowers, singing songs, expressing
And full of heart
I fall in love with you

Those moments, I soak

When we shed our beings
And we both die as individuals
To be reborn as one
The union, full of heart
Then, I fall in love with you

My heart breaks again and again asks the cause!!
Sometimes dreams have you ever broken the times!
Broken heart and often finds me too!
I fought a duel circumstances alone!

WHEN SHE IS ON HOLIDAY

N. M. Leepsa & Namrata Nanda

At this joyous time of the year,

Thinking of people who are special and dear,
For so long she wished for the day,
With time slowing down her way,
As she sits on the sea-shore,
Gazing the serene night sky and witnessing a thoughtful flare,
With emotions of joy overpowering her,
Overlooking the uncertainty that shunned her,
Cherishing the moments that swiftly sways in her mind
When she is on holiday with all her worries left behind.

She spends every way to take care of herself

Vacation to a lonely island from crowd to escape
Taking a walk at night under the beams of moon
Listening to the soothing music enjoying its every tune
Riding the breath taking roller coasters in vacation
She knew freedom is the best occasion for celebration
Releasing stress of the daily life, by travelling enough
Climbing mountains and hills, she learned to be tough
Playing under the sunshine and fragrance carried by wind
When she is on holiday with all her worries left behind.

WHY CAN’T YOU?

N.M. Leepsa & Lopamudra Mishra

If desires are born in your soul

If you thought of your life’s goal
If you have taken first step to walk
If your willpower is solid as rock
If agree to be polished like diamonds
If you want to work free from all bonds
If you want fly above the sky against wind
If you are strong and can control your mind
If every experience of your life you embrace
Then dear why can’t you achieve success?

Success is not a day’s job,

Hard work with strong will power,
Are the key to achieve the goal,
Motivation is the wheel to move the reel,
Without it ,none can achieve the degree,
Degree of achievement is always dear,
For it we have to plan bit by bit,
Proper planning is mandatory,
For a success story,
Success brings merry to every sorry,
So to smile cheerfully we have to act plan fully

YOU ARE MINE

N. M. Leepsa & S S Kanade

Oh my darling,
Don't wait for my call,
You are mine
That's why you say I am yours

Are you taking my acid test?

I am not litmus paper.
You are my soul,
Therefore don't ask me,
You are mine
That's why you say I am yours

If you are waiting for my green signal,

Ask your breath and heartbeats.
Then you will whisper,
That you are mine.

You have the testimonies of

The Sun and the Moon,
The lanes and roads,
The garden and birds.
They are the witnesses of our love.
They all sing loudly.
That you are mine.

After all,
Trust your soul and the body,
Fragrance of red rose in your hair lock,
Sweet dew on your lips,
The pull of our embrace,
Arrows of your eyes.
They all testify
That you are mine

Now the world isn't blind

Do break its bondage
Neither distance nor any power can separate us.
Therefore don't wait for my call
You are mine
Today tomorrow and forever.

Looking for your company

I went several miles

It was like a light of hope
Of the rays of your bright face
A galaxy of stars
Shining in you
A spark in you
Sparks my heart to say
You are mine

Like I see my face

In the reflection of water
I see my future
In the reflection of your eyes
I keep quiet hypnotized
By those spellbound eyes
Heard speaking
Makes silence in sound
That echoes
You are mine

We meet everywhere
Like mute strangers
With subconscious mind
That wish to see you
Every day again and again
And we meet at all place
Heart is the connection
Between you and me
Because you are mine

I'm amazed
How destiny brings us together
Like sun everyday with the sky
I cannot express properly
I cannot speak well
I cannot ask your love
When I see you closer
I wonder why, why?
To say you are mine

You are my life and breath

You are boon for my good deeds
You are the fire and flames
Why you came late in my life, to destiny I blame
Such feelings cannot be said
Only those have fallen in love know
How it feels to say .
You are mine

Shades of Love and Life

85
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

Sometimes we feel to express our love to the person who makes us feel like
being in love with life. The person who makes us alive and everything in
surrounding seems like being in harmony taking us to a different world. We
feel the heaven on the earth. But either we fear to express them in thought of
losing them or express them after losing them. Sometimes we express them
through our eyes thinking that they would understand them or sometimes we
express them opening the words of heart in front of them. This poem book is
an attempt to express these emotions, feelings and thoughts of all those
persons who have spent some part of their life in the world of love. The sad
part of life is sometimes love happens only to those who do not love us. We
love someone who does not love us and they loved someone who did not
love them back. This is the sad part of life but still life goes on and still we
believe in love. This is luck which we name as destiny. This book is a
collection of plethora of such emotions, feelings, memories of love and life,
touching people of different walks of life.

Two Hearts and Hundred Pearls

86
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

Love, dreams, heart, joys and happiness- This book contains all the possible
themes and much more. It touches themes on the days of the week,
relationships, human emotions & moods, various seasons and every single
word that we hear every single day by some means or other. We have tried to
show the real beauty behind the words that is above their mere utterance. We
know what its real worth is, but when we want to convey it, we normally don’t
justify in its true sense, we feel how to define them or express them. We have
made a fair attempt to portray the inner side of you that you would want to
convey to the world. In a way, more or less each of these poems is a telltale
of your own story. These are short poems that will tell you, sometimes a tale
or will take you in your own life stories in rhythmic forms. Each and every
poem is created in a unique way to give you some memorable references.
The same theme has been presented in different thought process so that
readers get the different taste from the same theme and connect them to their
life. As the title says, the book is completed in 100 days with 100 versatile
themes. The best part of this venture of the two writers is, you will get the
essence of the variety of feelings in this single book. Some poems will make
you plunge into a heartfelt smile on your face, some will take you to a few
moments of your memories, some will make you emotional, and some will
take you in your own imaginary world. Efforts are made to craft each poem,
short and simple in its own way. Different poetic styles are followed in
different poems to add vivid colors to the book. We were most concerned to
make this book age proof, whether you are a child, you will find your feelings
in our own words. We always have our own world and our world is connected
with your world. If you are at an age of par you will feel the immense pleasure
of your whole life experiences and emotions. We have tried to put forth the
best of words so as to touch your heart and soul and make you feel that world
is really beautiful.
SONGS OF SOUL (UPCOMING)

87
DUET POEM ANTHOLOGY 2016

I have made a small attempt through this poetry book to touch people’s heart
and express their heart. This book is a collection of the loveliest words knitted
with the threads of poetry. Each thread shows different colours of life. Its
colours include serendipity, purity, lust, passion, pain, joy, beauty, bliss,
romance, ecstasy, divinity, honesty, devotion, surprises, loyalty, compassion,
dedication and hope. Through this book, I have tried to share the emotions of
different people in different relationships. The poems are expressed from the
point of view of a daughter, a poet, a lover or the beloved, a celebrity, sister,
and most importantly as a human being. Different poems are in different
forms and some of them are free verse. The book consists of hundred poems
with variations in length, format and theme which can be linked up with our
day to day life. It mirrors about how a heart feels when it is happy and sad
which has been put in pen and paper to take the reader to the world of
thoughts. If I had been able to express properly, I would give me a
satisfaction of life that I have lived happily.
