Automatic Control Maintenance Supervisor
Role:

• To assist Maintenance Instrument Superintendent to maintain the CSS Controls, Safety Systems,
ESD Fire & Gas system and Gas turbine/Compressors controls system in good working condition,
hence, to achieve Plant’s Smooth Operation.
• Assist Instrument Superintendent in long term planning and day to day planning and scheduling of
maintenance works.
• To ensure moral motivation of Colleagues to achieve optimum performance in the field related work.
Ensure the compliance of company safety policy and contribute in eliminating and reducing risk
involved in the jobs.

Main Responsibilities:

PROJECT PHASE

• Provide Instrument & Control System input and oversight for all phases on Coral FLNG project.
• To review the specification, design and supply (by contractors) of Instrument & Control System of
equipment in offshore production facilities, ensuring that it meets project objectives, industry
standards and best practice for safety, reliability and cost.
• Assist Operation for a smooth transition from the commissioning phase to operational phase.
• Involvement with Project Control engineer during commissioning for any technical support
requirement

OPERATIONS PHASE

• Delegate and direct the control/automation technical staff to complete work activities.
• Give clear direction as to what needs to be done, and monitor performance against a predetermined
deadline.
• Provide intervention and problem solving with disciplines’ Superintendents and Manager, interfacing
with Asset integrity at special cases.
• Set priorities, plan, and coordinate work activities by plans with long-range horizons based upon a
sound knowledge of Operation/Maintenance expectations: policies, budgets and strategic plans.

Automatic Control Maintenance Supervisor

• Provide feedback to Maintenance Superintended for developing maintenance budget and ensure its
accuracy by controlling expenditures.
• Personal involvement and supervision of all controls/automation maintenance activities at Coral
FLNG.
• To ensure efficient running and maintenance of gas turbine and compressors auxiliaries and controls
and DCS.
• Preparation of training plan of staff in view of TNA to for skill development plan.
• Manage & Execute MOC and minor projects.
• Plan, direct and supervise control/automatic maintenance activities of team personnel in maintaining
Coral FLNG facility to meet all target key objectives with a focus on improved maintainability,
reliability and availability.
• Coordinate with warehouse for the improvement of inventory system.
• Review all the preventive maintenance procedures critically and develop procedures for each
maintenance activity.
• Give assistance in the major maintenance works such as shutdown, Troubleshooting and overhauling
of major equipment such as compressors, Gas turbine and cryogenic main equipment.
• Ensure safe working condition of ESD (Emergency Shutdown System)
• Maintain the daily routine checking of ESD system alarms/events register on DCS Engineering
Workstation.
• Managing the system load and to investigate the reason that if system becomes overloaded due to
any field instrument malfunctioning.
• Responsible to change and modify any logic in software after higher management approval as per
MOC procedure.
• Ensure safe working condition of all Fire and Gas control system.
• PM/CM job on Fire and Gas detectors.
• Established and maintain the Preventive Maintenance record of fire and gas equipment.
• Ensure safe working conditions of DCS (Control and Safety System).
• To check the health of all DCS Inputs/Outputs cards, and to take further action in case of fault
detection.
• Coordinate with the other department during execution PM/CM job on DCS.
• To ensure that serial link communication from RTU, UCP’S remain healthy.

Automatic Control Maintenance Supervisor

• Responsible to rectify any Serial Link Interface problem on DCS side.

• To solve the problem if communication hangs between any DCS nodes by following the modified
procedure in coordination with Instrument Engineer.
• Coordinate with Electrical Department in RTU drives/motors test from DCS.
• Managing DCS HMI (Human Machine Interface) Graphics.
• Manage the DCS SOFTWARE related problem.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years field experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry preferably cryogenic
operation/LNG in the field of control & automation.
• Degree in Electronics engineering.
• Must have a strong commitment and working knowledge of safety and loss control programmes.
• Experience in remote environment operations.
• Working experience of DCS ESD, Fire & Gas control system is essential

• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
