PERSONAL DETAILS:
I am Jaskamal Singh born and raised up in India. I was born on 27/04/2001. My passport No. is
R3233824 . My residential address is VPO CHHAPAR PATTI HARA, TEH JAGRAON (LUDHIANA) PIN:
141204, PUNJAB, INDIA. Thus through the medium of this statement of purpose I would like to
acknowledge my education credentials and my further goal in life.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
I would like to initiate my statement of purpose from my education. I had completed my
matriculation from Punjab School Education Board in the year 2017 with 86.61% marks (First
Division) and had completed my Senior Secondary Education from Punjab School Education Board
in Science (Non-medical stream) in the year 2019 with 80.0% (First Division). I want to attain my
further education from abroad and I involved in the process to find the best abroad nation to
continue my studies.

By studying in a foreign nation, I can get exposed to international cultures and way of working. It
becomes a huge benefit factor when anyone thinks of his career in a long term perspective. I
started my coaching classes for IELTS. I worked hard and I appeared for IELTS Examination on
22/FEB/2020 and scored overall 6 band with no bands less than 6 bands which is the entry
requirement for Canada and my parents have paid my tuition fees of one year. Moreover they will
sponsor my further studies in Canada. However if in any situation am not able to carry out my
living expenses then they will provide me the sufficient funds. My parents have enough funds to
help me out in any situation.

MY CHOSEN ABROAD DESTINATION: CANADA

In this world of opportunity, there are numerous developed nations which are the best study
abroad destinations. One of the most important reasons why I choose to study in Canada is
because of the high quality of education. When a student receives a degree from a Canadian
university, it acts as a mark of trust and excellence. Canada places a lot of importance to education
and maintains very high standards in education. A certificate acquired from Canadian university is
recognized globally and is valued highly in the international job market. Canada offers not only
quality education, but education which is affordable for international including Indian students.
Compared to countries like the UK, USA and Australia, cost of education in Canada is quite
moderate. Tuition fee in Canada is fairly cheaper. And when considering the return on investment,
it is quite a viable option for Indian students. Students can also apply to a range of scholarships to
cut down on your educational expenses. Canada has the best educated people and the highest
literacy rate in the world. Canadians live longer than anyone on the planet, except people in Japan
and Iceland. Canada's prime cities Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal have been recognized as
world class cities to live and work, for cleanliness, safety, cultural activities and attractive
lifestyles. A very important factor for most Indian and other international students while choosing
a study abroad program is the safety and security of the country and the city in particular. Parents
are worried about the safety of their children and factors like crime against women, racial
discrimination, theft and burglary play an important role while choosing a destination for study
abroad. In this respect, Canada is one of the safest places to study with very low crime rates and
cases of racial discrimination. People of Canada are extremely friendly and welcoming. The
multicultural environment gives students an opportunity to interact with people of all
backgrounds and ethnicity. There are numerous communities and associations of which you can
be a part and get a feeling of a home away from home. On the other hand, Canada is considered
peaceful, safe and orderly country. Furthermore, Canadian culture is more diverse and vibrant. A
sizeable French community makes this nation an attractive place to learn French gastronomy. Due
to all these advantages I selected Canada as my study destination.

MY PREFERRED EDUCATION PROVIDER—MILESTONE COLLEGE:

I wish to pursue my further study from Milestone College. It is one of the reputed institutes in
Canada because of its quality education. Milestone College is located in Brossard, Quebec, offering
Diplomas that are recognized by the Quebec Ministry of Education and higher education.
Milestone offers intensive, full-time training focused on practice and the acquisition of essential
skills to enter the labor market. The school has a well-earned reputation for meeting the needs of
students both academically and professionally. Founded in 2018, the school has focused on
excellence in language and technical skills instruction.

When I searched for other colleges in Toronto or Vancouver for my desired program I found that
tuition costs are much higher than Milestone College.
On the other hand, Staff & Faculty provides a welcoming environment for international students.
Nonetheless, this college offers excellent student services to ensure that students have a great
learning experience with worldwide recognition.
In addition, by living in Montreal, International students are able to access significant employment
opportunities & community support services.

Each training program offered at the college ends with an internship that allows students to put
into practice the concepts acquired throughout their in-class education within a practical work
environment. With a placement rate for graduates of over 80%, Milestone College prides itself on

MY PROGRAM OF DESIRE---Computing Support:

The College Diploma in Computing Support at Milestone College is a 2-year diploma program
geared towards educating students that will be successful within the workforce and modern job
market. Companies are dependent upon computers and technology to ensure the smooth-running
of their everyday business operations. The computing support provides the skills for students in
order to be knowledgeable and assist users with software, computer, and technical-related
concerns and maintenance.

One of the most important job in any companies relying on computers for its operations, is the
availability of computer support; someone knowledgeable enough to assist users on software and
problem and technical issues. The knowledgeable and skillful professors developed teaching
methods that not only keep students’ attention but engage the students and motivate them to go
much further.

The program goes beyond basic MELS requirements. Students will acquire specific knowledge in
Cisco, Comptia A+, Linux+ and Network+ upon completion of the program. The skilled teachers
have a broad range of experience to provide with guided instruction in state of the art classrooms
equipped with the latest hardware and software.

Theoretical learning is complemented by the placement program which will enable the students
to apply the skills in a real world industry setting prior to graduation. Following the completion of
the coursework, there is an opportunity to complete an 8-week internship in a real working
environment to apply the knowledge and skills developed within the classroom.
FUTURE VISION:

Hence, on the attainment of my program, I will be prepared with the skills like Integrate the
hardware with the software which is essential in every system, installation and maintenance of
hardware and software at a workstation, managing a network, installing and maintaining shared
resources, to support customers in a professional work environment, to enhance a workstation for
better performance. Thus, the diploma holders of this program are in great demand all around the
globe. Also, they are well prepared to enter the job market.

I will work in Canada for a short time period as a technical supporter, network problem solving,
optimization of performance of computer, window installation, software and hardware integration
etc. Thereafter, I will return to India and look for a job in Government sector or private firms.
There are many networking and IT companies such as HCL, TCS, Mindtree, TP Link etc. I can earn
attractive salary offers. This will not only bring my patriotic fervor into reality but also make my
life more meaningful and rewarding. I wish to promote and develop stronger.
