INFORMATION

The undersigned Prosecutor accuses MARY JANE VERANO of the crime

of Cyberlibel, under R.A 10175 or commonly known as Cybercrime Prevention
Act of 2012 in relation with Article 355 of the Revised Penal Code, committed as
follows:

On or about _______ day of ________ 2021, in the city of Imus,

Philippines, accused with malicious intent of casting aspersion on the reputation
and goodwill of complainant Esther Apolina, and with evident intent of exposing
private complainant to public hatred, ridicule and contempt, did then and there
willfully and unlawfully, feloniously and maliciously defame complainant by then
and there publicly uttering statement imputing a crime, vice, defect or an act of
commission to complainant through a computer system by posting in personal
Facebook Post, postings in Group Page and posting on the personal account of
Esther Apolina and through other similar means, to wit:

“Itong Church treasurer na to, naturingan na choir member at sumisimba

linggo linggo naturingang magnanakaw. Mahiya ka naman pinagnanakawan mo
ang simbahan. Magnanakaw ka Esther. God knows Hudas.”

which statements tend to cause dishonor, discredit, public ridicule, hatred

or contempt to complainant, to its damage and prejudice in the amount to be
proven during trial.
