INDIVIDUAL REFLECTIVE ACCOUNT

For the presentation I have covered up the section of the service user group that I termed as
“disability”. Here I have affiliated with most of the cases. I have covered up almost all the
section regarding the legislation and the policies and the 9 fundamental factors.
I believe that I have presented well about the fundamental user service with a protected
characteristic. According to the Equality Act 2010, there are 9 protected characteristics: age,
sex, disability, religion or belief, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, race (color,
nationality, ethnic origin), pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership.
For the limitations of our presentation, I have tried my level best to analyze the policy and
legislation regarding the disability as user service with a protected characteristic. I have only
related the legislation of the social value act 2012 in respect to the health issues and other
major factors which included including neighborhood specialists and wellbeing area bodies and
to consider financial, social and ecological prosperity in acquirement of administrations or
agreements. But I was unable to collect more information about the legislation issues.
I have tried my best to speak clearly and sharply to explain my key points about the whole
scenario and the fundamental factors. I was aware about my voice clarity. I tried to explain all
the specific areas of my presentation topics. I maintained my shoulders neutral and my head
centered. I also tried to maintain proper posture. I tried to avoid yelling and also tried not to
stutter. I was confident and concise about my speech.
I begin with my posture back straight but not rigid, and shoulders relaxed so that I don't look
too uptight. I kept my arms relaxed at my sides, showing I am open to what someone else is
communicating, and as with my legs, keeping my arms uncrossed in order to absorb more of
what's going on. I used my hands to gesture when I speak--this improved my credibility with the
listener. In addition, there is evidence that gesturing with your hands while speaking improves
your thinking processes so I was aware of that. Besides that, I was also aware of different
cultural greetings and closures prior to my presentation.
The time was short, so I had to make sure the script that I was telling that was highly precise. I
was aware of the word choice and the other selection of phrases. Firstly, I brain stormed what I
needed to tell then I memorized the whole script and went on. This let me get a firm handle
over the whole situation. So, I can tell that I organized my script in a consistent and
straightforward way.
If I have to do the task, I would concentrate more on the certain issues like brainstorming more
on some specific portion and try to bring up some relevant topic relating to my presentation. I
believe that will make my whole presentation more precise.
