S.Y. 2018- 2019

I. TITLE IMPROVING THE WASH (Water,

Sanitation and Hygiene) FACILITY IN
SCHOOL
II. BACKGROUND AND The Department of Education (DepEd) and
RATIONALE United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)
are moving towards by strengthening the
system of the DepEd WASH in Schools to
promote hygiene in learning institutions and
at the same time, to contribute to the global
agenda of the Social Development Goals.
This has been reinforced by global education
for all strategies highlighting how water,
sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in schools
improves access to education and learning
outcomes, particularly for girls, by providing
a safe, inclusive and equitable learning
environment for all.
III. OBJECTIVES 1. Adding more lavatory for hand
washing
2. Maintaining cleanliness and safety of
the comfort rooms
3. Providing enough water supply to the
school
